You will get wet. They will throw water at you whether your in a taxi or on the back of a motorbike or walking anywhere. They will throw water from a window or curb side or from the bed of a truck. Kids will buy powerful water guns and these can be filled with many different liquids. I guess if your out and about the best thing to do is not dress too nicely and protect cameras and other valuables from getting wet. Me I hate getting water thrown on me so I will find a hotel with a good view of the streets and just watch the action. Usually you are safe going about after 8 in the evenings but even then theres a chace to get wet.
