Usually it's the top that complains about condoms. But I hear a few reasons that bottoms sometimes decline using a condom. One is latex allergy, but that can be handled with the nitrile-type. Another is that if a condom is too tight it can compress the head of the penis so it's more torpedo-shaped. For a bottom that likes a lot of "rectal massaging" that might not seem as satisfying, and it might be why the dildo actually feels more pleasurable. I've noticed that myself. But it could also be that the dildo is just bigger....
I have not yet found a reason, as top or bottom, which convinced me to bareback (I'm not in a monogamous relationship).
