The bad news keeps on coming

Many ABS have added head shop supplies lately to contend with declining stores. This has been further fueled by the rise in popularity of synthetic marijuana; labeled as incense under the names of Spice, K2 and others.
This afternoon, Wednesday 11/24/2010, the DEA published notice in the Federal Registry that it plans to ban the sale and use of five chemicals used to process "Fake pot". This allows the DEA to impose a ban after 30 days for 12 months while more permanent legislation is drafted.
In the past, when some municipalities have banned the sale of products containing certain chemicals that mimic the high of THC, manufacturers have circumvented the ban by changing the formula. Today's sweeping action may be broad enough to eliminate this dodge.
