The term poppers indicates an illegal usage, sniffing. A lot of stores will refuse you on that basis alone when cops are on the patrol. Think in terms of going into a shop and asking for a crack pipe, or going into the same shop and asking for a glass pipe. Especially important with the crackdown by the Feds because of the illegal formula of RUSH recently confiscated by DEA.
It is recommended you use avoid products containing illegal (in the US) amyl nitrite or butyl nitrite compounds. Seek legal versions of isobutyl nitrite, alkyl nitrites, cyclhexyl nitrite, or hexyl nitrite only. These are legal marketed as liquid room aromitizers, sneaker cleaner or video head cleaners. Products that claim to have a legit purpose can not be seized by police. Products sold strictly as an illegal inhalent can be seized as illegal. There are a wide variety of brands available. We generally carry Double Eage Video Head Cleaner, D&E Purple VHC, Colt Fuel, or Hardware Aroma. Some online stores do carry these products, but shipment may be restricted to certain zip codes due to local regulations. You can check assofny.com or Google any of the above products. NOTE: Persons on Levitra or other erectile dysfunction drugs should avoid inhalation of fumes from any nitrite based product to avoid serious complications. Please consult with your doctor for what is safe for you, and be honest with him.

Given how lame the sex scene is in NYC, I'd suggest that could be one of the worst cities for finding poppers. I certainly agree with Grumpy that, depending on how you ask, could freak somebody out and raise suspicion. I buy my poppers online, though at the moment most of those suppliers are out of stock thanks to the actions of the Obama administration.

I have been advised by my distributor that Video Tech (manufacturers of Maximum Impact Spray Video Head Cleaner, Jungle Juice, Double Eagle VHC, and Double Eagle Purple VHC) has gone out of business as a result of the recent government sweep. This news just came out this afternoon, and I have not been able to verify. Our secondary supplier has refused comment.

Many ABS have added head shop supplies lately to contend with declining stores. This has been further fueled by the rise in popularity of synthetic marijuana; labeled as incense under the names of Spice, K2 and others.
This afternoon, Wednesday 11/24/2010, the DEA published notice in the Federal Registry that it plans to ban the sale and use of five chemicals used to process "Fake pot". This allows the DEA to impose a ban after 30 days for 12 months while more permanent legislation is drafted. In the past, when some municipalities have banned the sale of products containing certain chemicals that mimic the high of THC, manufacturers have circumvented the ban by changing the formula. Today's sweeping action may be broad enough to eliminate this dodge.

Several years ago while I was working for Keith before he passed away in 2012 I had a side business that sold poppers online. I closed it after the 2010 death of Joe Miller, who owned PacWest Distributing and the closing of PacWest. That company was the manufacturer of genuine PWD Rush and other PWD brands. After that it was impossible for me to obtain the genuine product. Here's some background on that:
Advance Indiana™: Star Posts Online Story On Joe Miller's Death And Then Yanks It Advance Indiana™: Miller's Popper Business Closed Advance Indiana™: Joe Miller May Have Died From Inhaling Poppers I still see a lot on online shops selling products with the name Rush as well as the others, but it isn't clear what company actually makes them. Many of the sites, including the one mentioned by poppersuser supply little information about who they are. BuyPoppers says, "We are in partnership with the leading poppers providers all around the world including PWD and Amesterdam LLC which helps us offer the lowest prices in the industry." Again, who are the "leading poppers providers" remains a mystery. In many cases, websites do not disclose where they are located. This one also offers "Free Shipping on orders over $50" but the pricing for the products and in the shopping cart and shipping calculation are in Euros. Confusing. There's another site that uses the original name: "Copyright @PWD 2013. Pac West Distributing Corp. All Rights Reserved." However, it has a lot of the Faux Latin "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet" type filler content on parts of their pages and many of the links do not work. They even had a Hotmail email address. I checked on my old wholesale supplier and they also appear to be closed. What conclusions to draw from this? You decide.
