Thanks for the comments on my original question. The correct answer is "all of the above", I think. Sometimes not cumming is because it is just not the right technique or the right vibe, but sometimes it's just enjoying the edging and wanting to continue to play. I have had some cool sex club experiences recently and realized that most guys are really there for extended edging/pleasuring and are not going to want to cum until the end of their night. Getting together with a FWB is an entirely different kind of sex; of course we're both going to cum, and then probably laugh and talk for another hour or two.
