MENS RESORT & SPA - Siem Reap



This place is fabulous. Doubles as a hotel. Beautifully finished. Ground floor has a large pool, outdoor bar, palatial seating, eatery. At the far end is sauna, steam, spa and cruisatorium with cubicles. Visted a few times while I was there. Floors above have accommodation, gym etc. $US7 to get in. Prices on foodstuffs reasonable. Nice staff twinky types.

A varied clientele, OF's mostly staying inhouse but also visitors, lots of average locals of varying ages. Fun to be had and was had in the cruising areas. The only problem is the whole crusing area is concrete/tile ( a carpark comes to mind) and so is perilously dangerous. Slip and ya dead... doesn't matter how old/young you are.

Sauna is the size of about 6 telephone boxes (remember those?) which is not always a disadvantage. The Steam has been built by some crazy nut. There isn't a straight (PI) wall in it so again creep with caution. Apart from that the place is a definite must.

Getting there is interesting. It is not that far from the centre. The road is a bit like being on a bucking bronco but relax because chances are you will have more fun at Mens than on the Tuk Tuk ride in. By the way Tuk Tuk's are much more comfortable that those from LOS/ that wouldn't be difficult. You can actually sit up right etc. etc. By the way what silly queen prints her calling card in pastel grey print and background in a country where all light bulbs are of the faded pale yellow variety to save power! Most TT drivers couldn't read it for love nor $!!

Anyway most of the drivers knew exactly where it was and there are cluster hanging around outside to take you when you are exhausted...
