24 Hour Fitness located with men-only saunas and steamrooms
 

I go to the West Hollywood 24 Hour Fitness and like the fact that the jacuzz, sauna and steamroom is for men only.
After a good workout, it is good to have some downtime in there with just other guys.
I went to two 24 Hour Fitness locations last week in Orange County (on Lemon in Anahiem and on Orangewood in Orange) and they had ony co-ed facilities like that.
What locations in Los Angeles let us guys hang out and get wet together naked?

24 Hour Fitness in Puente Hills (City of Industry) has a large steam room and sauna in the men's wet area. It used to be a Spectrum Club, so the facilities are better than most 24 Hour Fitnesses. Mostly Asian and Latino. Lots of cruising, especially in the morning and evenings. Have fun!

Manhattan Beach 24 Hour Fitness has a men's sauna, but not steam room. Some action when it's not too busy, like Sunday afternoons.

think most 24 hrs have the steam rooms/sauans in the locker rooms...so they are gender specific.....

The one in Glendale is hit and miss....but often guys looking to at least show off....but very little privacy....

The one in Pasadena north of the 210....probably close to Sierra Madre actually.....used to have a great setup.....the steam room gave you good privacy...and the light was often out so it was reasonably dark. think management got wise to what was going on....now there is a new light that you can't get to....so not much going on anymore......:(

I go to Glendale 24hr fitness a lot... it's hit or miss. I've had the occasional really hot time there. But usually there's too many older guys or straight guys and not much goes on, at least when I'm there.

Long Beach Sport, Yorba Linda, and SJC
 

The locations in Long Beach both have single sex facilities (and action).
LB Downtown (on Ocean near 710) has a sauna in the locker room.
LB Sport (Bellflower and Spring, just north of 405) has single sex sauna, steamroom, and large gang shower room. They also have signs saying swimsuit required in sauna and steam. This policy is enforced by staff members who check in regularly.
Yorba Linda (in the shopping center at Imperial and YL Blvd) has a sauna downstairs next to the gang shower room. Hit and miss, but can be good at times.
San Juan Capistrano (facing the northbound 5, just south of Ortega Highway) has a very cruisy sauna in the locker room. It faces the open shower room.

Any other suggestions, fellas?
Anaheim Gateway Sport (Lemon north of 91) is pretty cruisy even with coed facilities.

Everytime I have been in the health club at the Marriott LAX I have had an exciting time. i work out at the 24 hr fitness on wilshire early in the mornin, between 2 - 4:30am. after working out, i usually take a shower. there r 8 shower stalls with curtains. i'm usually in the shower and take 10-15 min showers and sometimes 20 minutes. i'm always the only one there. i stay long for opportunities that someone i like will shower and cruise. but usually nobody. the showers there r perfect cuz they're empty around these times. asians, latinos and african-americans work out in this gym and some ocassional white guys.

am hopin somebody uses those showers between 2 - 4am lookin 4 some action...

I haven't yet been to the 24 Hr Fitness West Hollywood and was curious as to what the scene is like there. How are the showers set up and is there a lot of action? What is the best time to go and what is the parking situation? I plan to go after work during the week (is this a good time)?

the action at the WeHo 24 Hour Fitness is usually pretty good
late at night in the steamroom, showers, dry sauna and jacuzzi.
Some discretion is necessary since some straight guys do work out there and the employees do walk-throughs infrequently (that's my legal disclaimer!).
The showers have stalls but there are no curtains.
Lots of eye candy during the day at the outdoor pool.
Parking on late weeknights is pretty easy.
They are opened until midnight from Monday--Thursday and until 11pm from Friday--Sunday.

WeHo 24 Hour Fitness (continued).
All of that being said, they could keep the place maintained a little better, especially when they charge $15 for a day pass and it's the only gym in the area.
Restrooms out of order, sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi put out of order for days at a time, liquid soap in showers out most of the time, toilet paper dispensers empty, carpets dirty, rusty lockers, leaks from the ceiling onto the floor in the locker room, etc.
Someone wrote a letter to FAB a few weeks ago about the same things.

Which 24 hour is best? I went to ArcLight today and it doesn't seem good since they have the stalls liek 6 or 8 of then

jobud...they do validate parking for the structure next to them so be sure to bring your ticket inside. There is a machine at the desk that you can stamp the ticket.
I am not sure of the cost since I live so close, I never park there.

I agree with the comments about the gym at the Arclight. It seemed almost hospital-like it was so antiseptic, almost devoid of any cruising other than the eye candy on the gym floor.

Older small locker room with a communal shower area (no curtains or dividers). Small dry sauna that is very hot and dark, but no one used it. Had a bit of potential if the right guy(s) is there.

Hermosa Beach
1601 Pacific Coast Highway
Brand new facility. Co-ed pool, steamroom, dry sauna and jacuzzi. Small but very clean locker room. Only 2 shower stalls (one of the handicapped) and 1 stall in the restroom. It was too antiseptic (almost hospital-like) to be cruisy.

I will try to check out the new Magic Johnson location on Slauson, the new LAX location on Century, the Hawthorne location and the Santa Monica Sport location to see what's UP in the next few weeks.
