I know this is all easily researchable, but I assume you had to get a visa to enter China? Did you have to get photos for that? Did you first fly into Hong Kong? Does one simply take a train from Hong Kong? How did you pick a hotel to stay in? Did you consider taking any guys back to your hotel room for overnight? How is the English-speaking ability there? Do you have a lot of problems communicating? The whole thing sounds fascinating! Maybe the best way to get there from U.S. is to fly to Hong Kong.

You said they love fucking and getting fucked. But that is my observation in Bangkok. The Thai guys almost always want to fuck me--and I let them!

I agree. Thai guys are very President Clinton when it comes to sex. Unless there is fucking involved, the Thai guys would say, with hand on heart, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman"

You do need a visa; you can apply for yourself at the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok, but it is much better to pay a couple hundred baht to a travel agency for them to deal with the crowds and bureaucracy for you.

There are also non-stop flights from Bangkok to Shenzhen on Air Asia.

Thanks. I would probably be going there from U.S.--so it would probably be flying to Hong Kong. I assume that photos are required. It's probably some deal where I'd have to mail my passport to a China consulate in the U.S.

-- It's weird; I can't understand people who seem not to avail of search engine Google, or similar, before asking so many questions.

--Why don't you go to the flg. web-site -
> Chinese Visa, Passport, Notarization & Authentication < ? It is in ENGLISH.
- Now 'Up to you.'!

If your going to HK first, then there are hundreds of travel agents who can get you a visa within a few hours and at reasonable cost, and yes you do need 2 or 3 photos.

From Hong Kong there is a modern fairly fast train to Shenzen, departs numerous times every day, quite punctual, easy to find the HK departure station, it's within the HK train system, from memory it's about 70 minutes trip, train is very clean, attendants come up and down continuously with a trolley with snacks, drinks etc., all at cheap prices.

On arrival in Shenzen it's just 3 or 4 minutes walk to passport and customs, both quick and very efficient. If there's a problem at the passport check a local immigration officer who speaks English is on the spot within seconds, all very friendly and courteous. Walk two minutes to the taxi area, well organized, lots of signs, plenty of taxis, 10 to 20 minutes to most parts of Shenzen. But it would be wise to give the taxi driver a note with the name and address of your hotel in Chinese. When you book your hotel you can easily copy hotel name and address from their website.

u can apply for a prc visa in the states or in hk (i guess). i've never had problems getting a prc visa in hk. u'd need to wait a few days for it and, yes, u'd need a photo (or 2) to attach with the application form.

pick any 3*up hotel in shenzhen using agoda.com or any other hotel booking service.

no, i never took anyone to my hotel room, mainly because i go to shenzhen just for one night (from hk), and usually don't sleep much during that night.

u can go to shenzhen from hk by train. it takes about 40 minutes and service runs until midnight.

heard horrifying stories about chinese male prostitutes pretending to be 'normal' guys and then in the morning attempting to extort money from 'clients'. it's safer and easier to hook up in the sauna.

those chinese who speak english will insist on speaking english to u even if u happen to speak chinese.

Shenzhen is full of massage parlours and saunas for fun. But prostitution is illegal there. Don't bring anyone back to ur room, anything goes wrong, the police would not be on ur side. Don't forget China is a communist country, the governemnt has the final say.

Just have fun in the saunas or massage parlours, as long as you pay the agreed price, the owners of these places will take care of u as they don't want to be accused of operating a brothel.
