The main reason Apple, makers of a superior line of computers and operating system, are such a minor player in the world of computing is mostly because of a decision years ago by control freak Steve Jobs to control every aspect of his precious machines including what software would be allowed to work with it. Don't these guys ever learn from past mistakes?
Just the other day Apple removed a program from their online apps store. Why? The application is for their iPhone and would allow one to see on YOUR phone some softcore pics of women. Apple said it wasn't appropriate for their phones. HELLO???? It is actually the phone of the person who paid thru the ass to buy it. I really, really want an iPhone, but now I think I'll take a serious look at the next round of Google-inspired phones with Android as the OS. Those phones promise less censorship from the home base. Maybe they'll even allow us to view tits and ass on our own phones! [Typed on a Mac computer.]

OMG! Apple has rejected an app because of language!

Nope, he has never learnt and he never will. One of the many millions on this earth who proudly say, 'if the facts show that I am wrong; change the facts'... I am sure that some sort of Yellow Snow hackers will be soon all over the place knacking the codes and allowing you as much ass and titties on your screen as you want. Has anyone ever managed to stop a guy from getting his thrill one way or the other? KD

I agree that someone out there is working on a way around who gets to control our phones. Perhaps one thing that needs to change as well is the consumer understanding of who owns the phone and who has the right to decide what goes on that phone. Of course I'd prefer the maker be involved to avoid putting malicious software on my phone, but malicious doesn't mean tits and ass!

I'm waiting to see what happens when all the Cruisers start using Loopt (www.loopt.com) on their phones when they're out looking to hook-up. :-)
