To all those who know the midwest, I could use some advice. I'm trying to figure out where to spend the next several weeks and the midwest is the likely location. Frankly, though, any drivable distance is possible.

As I write this, I'm in Cleveland, Ohio and will be spending a few days in Ohio (most in Columbus). I had hoped to spend 2 or 3 weeks in Chicago, but it is looking less likely -- too damn expensive to stay in that city.

I'm thinking Indiana (stopover in Indianapolis for sure to visit friends), up to Wisconsin. Maybe even a drive over to the Dakotas where I've spent no time. But then again, the Habana Inn down in Oklahoma is so reliable.

Any ideas?
