First, let me assure you that this is legit, not a made up story. The County District Attorney's Office is investigating who is writing names and phone numbers on the wall of the bathroom at local ABS.

I was recently visited by an Investigator from the DA's Office because someone complained that someone (not them) had written a sexual solicitation on the bathroom wall in our ABS. As part of our normal routine, we black out any names, phone numbers or email addresses written on the bathroom wall or the video stalls. Maybe not every day, every hour, but several times a week. This was on a Monday morning, and evidently the writing had been put on the wall on Sunday night. It stated "I love to suck dick and eat ass" and provided a first name and local phone number. After he took a picture of the post, I blacked it out and he took a second picture. I thought that was the end of it.

The following day, the Investigator was back. They had identified some of the guys who had called the phone number and interviewed (read that as interrogated) them about where they got the name and number. He wanted to inspect the video booths for additional postings which I had already blacked out after his first visit.

He then asked to review our security tapes to identify who was coming into the store. I declined, and he advised that he could get a warrant. I said he had no right to the identity of all my customers, and I doubted any judge would issue a warrant in this situation. Besides, the video is stored on hard drive off site and only retained for three (3) days history. I also advised that anyone writing on our wall would probably do the same thing at other ABS in the area (there are three others) plus the men's room wall at WalMart, Home Depot, and a dozen other places. I told him if the DA's office has so much time to waste, he needed to track down all those leads too.

It seems childish that someone has resorted to smearing another person's name by writing on the bathroom wall. I thought guys grew out of that after high school, but I guess not.
