Supper Bed Club

I live and work in Thailand &, apart from Babylon, I want to find out the names of clubs where well-educated Thais would gather.

I have heard positive things about the Supper Bed Club (not sure of name). Does anyone know about club or others in which well-educated Thais (and a few farang) might hang out?

Yes, Bed on Sunday nights tends to attract the "A list gays" of Bangkok. A good place to start, I guess.

OK . . . but is the Sunday night at the Supper Bed Club exclusively gay? Has anyone actually been there/done it on Sunday nights?

And . . . are there any other venues in BKK for the highly educated gay crowd besides Supper Bed Club?

Sunday night at Bed is designated as "gay night". They don't check your gay ID at the door, though, so I can't say that it's "exclusively" gay. It is definitely "mostly" gay, though.

"Educated" Thai gays go everywhere "uneducated" Thai gays go: Babylon, DJ, Chakran, etc. Lots of "uneducated" Thais go to Bed, as well.

Basically, though, I guess the more expensive venue the higher the concentration of "educated" gays is going to be. "Educated" gays also like to go to expensive, not-exclusively-gay places like H'uu, The Met Bar, Syn, etc.

Since I am quite unfamiliar with the particular venues in Bangkok and elsewhere in the popular places in Thailand-- ...would appreciate an address so that I can have it written in Thai and have a taxi deliver me there. Advance thanks are in order!

Just take a BTS skytrain to Nana station. Get to the street level on the North side of Sukhumvit Road and you'll be just a short distance from Sukhumvit Soi 11.

Walk into Soi 11, and continue straight on for about 400 metres. Look for this futuristic building on your right, and that's it!

ok, since it looks as if noone went to Bed Club, here're my impressions from a few visits earlier this year:
Sunday is a 'gay' night, which means there are a few gays; the majority tho is still very hetero; lots of Indians and Caucasians. Plus plenty of women. It's a snobbish place (for no reason, really) and attracts 'beautiful' crowd, read: pretentious people. It's NOT expensive. I think I didn't even have to pay an entrance fee.

All gays go there in groups or at least they know someone and can join a group inside. No idea whether they're 'highly educated'. I find the term highly amusing. But they're not exactly muscular. Some might spend more money on designer clothing, but I wouldn't draw any wider conclusions from that.

Music is good, but the vibe is not.

Most gays move to DJ Station around 1am, so you'll see all those 'highly educated' individuals in Soi 2 eventually. You can save yourself a trouble of travelling by taxi to and from Nana on Sunday night.

Conclusion: Bed Club, nice as it is, not recommended for cruising. Good for people watching (unless you're a fashon victim yourself, then there's not much to watch; people there are not that fashionable). You could get lucky and meet someone 'educated'. Or maybe not.
