CAFE @ Gunny Hotel in PENANG

Anyone been to this weekend gay dance club during last visa run ?

WHERE IS " GUNNY HOTEL " ?

I've never head of it before . Near PLAZA GURNY ?

Have you heard anything about this place , P'Tao ?

I should check this place on the way back to BKK from KL .
( Can Thai Asia still fly from Penang to BKK ? )

It's GURNEY and not "Gunny"...and it's along Gurney Drive. I haven't been there myself since I prefer to do my dancing horizontally immediately, but i have heard rumours that it is gay. I saw no scuh evidence when I passed by outside, though...lots of the distaff gender loafing about outside looking as though they were planning to charge for the evening.

I thought the spelling was bit strange when I saw the post on another board .
It said the place is divided into 2 sections .
One for gays . And another is for straights .

Is this place walking distance from PLAZA GURNEY ?
Or closer to EVA GREEN HOTEL ?

It's actually closer to the Gurney Hotel but if you consider that Gurney Drive is really only a short walk (by my standards anyway) the it isn't all that far from either hotel, since Evergreen Hotel is slightly closer to one end and Gurney Hotel is slightly closer to the other, starting from the middle.

So , this hotel ( Gurney hotel ) is near Plaza Gurney right ?
The post says CAFE and also very popular dance club " Mambo " is in the hotel .
