there is no such thing as a "gay hotel" in manila, since all the hotels that i know of are gay friendly - from the small apartelle type to the 5 stars hotels. most would not even bother to get the id of your additional "guest" except the westin, which has security stationed near the elevators.
i find filipinos to be very friendly and hospitable. there are a lot gay bars in the malate area. there are also some bathhouse in quezon city. however the pay for sex scene is not as good as bkk. the best gay massage places are in the class of HIS in bkk (i.e. not ensuite shower). so better do an out-call to your hotel. the gogobars have a totally different feel than in bkk. they only have f*uk show on fri-sat nights. the gogo boys in manila actually do dance. some with brief, but on big nights, they usually strip. after their number, they usually go around the customers to offer the customers to touch their dicks and what not. if you do take this service, tip 100php. do take note that this is just a brief encounter, if want to enjoy their company longer, you need to table them. be careful though, since their drinks will cost in the 300-350php range, and some of these boys can drink very fast. for more intimate company, most of these gogobars have a vip room, which cost around 2000-2500php. these includes some drinks as well. if you want to off the boy, there is usually a bar fine of less than 1000php.

The Gay Bars in Manila are in Malate near Remedios Circle. Take J. Nakpil off M. Adriatico about 1 block. To the right there is a courtyard with a gay bar, clothing shop and a Disco. The disco does not get hopping until 2am, so take a nap and plan to stay out late!!! All Guys in the Philippines expect a foreigner to give them something, expect 1000php or US$20.
Another Gay Club and Disco is on Makati Avenue, near the Great Western Hotel. It was named Government and only open on weekends. Your best opportunity to meet up with a nice Guy is on the Internet. Try www.gayromeo.com. Many Filipinos looking for a "relationship" post there. Many say they are BI, but that is just to maintain their "respect". Of course, gay.com and gaydar. I meet a nice humpy guy who was hot and loved to do poppers. He wanted 2000php but agreed to 1300php. Again most Guys expect something. Go and have a FUN!!!

Is it Malate or Makati? I have heard that the Makati area is the place to go. And I have also seen it spelled as Makate, so I am really nnot sure which is correct. Perhaps some Pinoy member of this board could help out?

Malate is supposed to be the tourist area with the long bloulavrd and the hotels overlooking the bay. But it is run down. Howver it is the main location of gay bars and clubs. As stated above on Friday and Saturday (midewwk dead) the whole courtyard and surrounding street comes to life with gay guys.
Makati (i have always seen it spelt woth an i) is the business area of Manila as well as location of the high class malls and most of Manilas 5 star hotels. Howver as stated above only one gay club open weekends. Quezon City appears to be main location of the go go bars and saunas just do not ask me how you locate them. I have been told that it is not recpmmended to stay in this area.

Have been LUCKY every time I am in Manilla meeting nice Guys at the Mall.
In Malate, there is the hugh Robinson's Center. M. Adratico and Pedro Gill. Sit outside the Pizza Hut on the lower level and a nice Filipino is sure to stop and say Mabuhay!!! In Makati, go to Greenhills Mall. Very UP SCALE and lots of handsome Guys looking for a Daddy!!! Starbucks is always good. But I still like to meet on the Web. Even if the the Guy is a Money Boy, you get to make a choice and meet at your hotel. ENJOY!!!

I have had no problem having guest come to my room, even late in the evening.
At the Pan Pacific, there was staff at the elevator but he just said, "Have a good evening." and smiled!! To be honest, I perfer the way it is done in Bangkok. To have the guest sign in and out provides a level of confidence. ENJOY YOUR TRIP!!!

if you're looking for bottoms, it is almost impossible to find from the "professionals". better try your luck in the clubs, almost guaranteed that they will not ask for anything in return.

Just found this old thread. Going to Manila next week.
Used to live in Manila some years ago but know nothing of Fri/Sat night f shows mentioned by Orson in the thread. Can anyone tell me which bars? Also which bars have go-go nowadays? I seem to recall they call them Macho dancers there. Thanks Jim

-- My foster grand-sons are country-boys who have been studying in a couple of MNL's. Unis. for the last several years, (so they should be aware enough of the local scene, by now; plus they're in company with other Manilleros most of the times that they go out.), so I am kept reasonably up-to-date with times and events as far as MNL. goes.
- Both grand-sons have had friends knifed - the latter died in hospital - even although they were with a couple or MORE others in a gp.. - I, myself, have been held-up at knife-point: broad daylight and on a busy bridge over the Pasig river; fortunately I have a pr. of long legs that can outpace most druggies and suchlike. - I would class MNL. as AYOR.! -- Bibi.. --

if your looking for f*ck shows in manila, you will be disappointed. it does not compare to the acrobatics that are found in bkk.
the f shows are just the plain vanilla type. and the pinoys usually don't have big tools so you have to squint they do gogo dancing though. some do it in the nude during weekends. fri and sat.
