..To continue this endless thread of Malaysia vs Pinnacle: ALL taxi drivers know the Malaysia but not the Pinnacle, so tell him "Malaysia" but when you're close tell him to keep driving.. it's another two minutes (depending on traffic).
Also, let's face it, many people like tacky, and that's the Malaysia. The Pinnacle. with all its recent renovations, is really more upscale. The price difference for a similar grade room booked with Jimmy is about 250 Baht, but Malaysia does not include breakfast so the real difference is almost nil.
