I was in Saigon in 2005. Unfortunately I have no idea of the name of the theatre, or its location. I was utilising the services of a gay guide.....he took me everywhere on the back of his motorbike...well more like a motor scooter. I wanted to go to a gay sauna....he dropped me outside one and waited for me. Fortunately for him I wasn't inspired once inside and left almost immediately......but the cinema was awesome. It was an old dilapidated place. My guide accompanied me into the theatre, asked to look after my watch and wallet (which I handed over to him)....and I was free to roam. I sat down in a discreet part of the theatre, dark, alone. Within.....hmmmmm.....maybe 5 seconds I had more attention than I could imagine. The place had quite a few "customers"....but I was the only white one....so far as I could "see". Anyway yeah....without boring you with the details ~ aside from the loss of my calvin kleins and my cap.....a good time was had by....well maybe not all....but many....and yeah actually I think I might have to return to Saigon some time this year!
