During my 3 last visits to BKK, I met a very nice boy at a massage-place (traditional massage).
We ggot along so well that I discovered that he has a problem with his (otherwize very nice) dick. His foreskin is so tight that it is impossible to take it back. Not even when not erected. Unpractical for both parties and also bad from hygienic point of view. He agreed that he needs to see a doctor - but he don´t do it. Probably because of economic reasons. I am thinking of helping him with money - but do any of you who live in Thailand know how much such operation would cost and where to do it. Can be mentioned that his English is non-existing and so is (almost) my knowledge of Thai - so you can imagine our difficulty so far when communicating about this .....

Have a look at Yanhee Hospital's website. It can be read in Thai and English.

I was in the same situation about six years ago. Asked the lad if he wanted to get it corrected. Took him to BKK-Pattaya Hospital. (Now I would take him to a Thai style hospital.) I forgot how much it cost, not too much, maybe 10,000 bt?
He was told not to have sex for a couple of weeks. As he was a bar boy, I gave him 8,000 bt. to live on. I saw it about ten days later and it was a bloody mess, looked as if a truck had run over it. He had been with a customer. Haven’t seen him since.

RoNo,
You say that his English is non existent, so it might help if you show him the translation of phimosis in Thai : หนังปิดหัวควยไม่มิด Then, the translation of “you need to have circumcision” is : คุณต้องไปขลิบ Then, the translation of « nothing to worry about, it is simple and frequent operation” is : ไม่ต้องกังวล เป็นเรื่องปกติ ใครก็ไปทำกัน. This might make him understand better and worry less. I would recommend the BNH in Bangkok (of course!) on Convent road next to Swiss Lodge, but the Bangkok Christian Hospital on Silom road is sure good and most likely less expensive. Hope to have helped. Happy New year to you and all.

Thanks for many good advices and especially for the translation-help (from Carnarvon).
When I first tried to explain to him what I meant (using my fingers as scissors) he probably he probably did not know what to think. Will try to pursuade him to do this correction. As he is not a bar-boy, some weeks without sex should be ok

I had my vasectomy done at BNH and an appendix operation at Bangkok Christian. Both are good and the later is definitely much cheaper than the former (though, at 6,000 baht in 1999, I thought I got a good price on the vasectomy!). I would avoid Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. I hear more bad stories about that place than good ones. For sure, they operate on the business principle and not the care taker principle. If you do visit this hospital, at the very least, get a 2nd opinion from another quality hospital (Thai or western).

I would appreciate if someone could help me with one more sentence - as supplement to Carnarvons previous reply:
"If youwant, I can go with you to a clinic and I will pay the bill for you" Thanks ...and, many of the recommended hospitals are very well located as my young massage-friend is working close to Saladaeng station.

The op he needs is not full circumcission.....its just a cut to a flap of skin underneath the glans (head) that connects the foreskin to the glans. I know....cos I had to have it done about 20 years ago! Just tell him that after the snip he will have orgasms twice as good as anything he had before and will love being able to pull the foreskin right back and release the glans. Also I think 2 weeks without sex would be the max. I was able to wank about 3 days after the op and was back to full sex within a week.
