On our side of the "pond" / Pacific, we were more appropriately qualified as "Queen's" Scouts

I am surprised at all the mentions of money boys at the Pahol Yothin cinema. I have been asked for money there, but really only maybe 1 of 8 guys or fewer. Maybe it's my choice of guy? I am not that picky.
I did re-read my post from a few months ago, and even the younger, muscular guys I met didn't ask for money. Maybe I just got lucky!
I do try to avoid both the Katoeys and the guys who are dressed like they just walked out of Juptier or Tawan Bar-- bright, tight clothing, tank tops, messenger bags, etc. Maybe that helps. I will blow a 35-40yo Thai guy in good shape, so obviously he's not a money boy.
Anyway, they're not all moneyboys!

You can never be sure. I have been asked for 100 baht by guys to whom my only possible response was howls of laughter.

LOL! Yes me too. But in general, the more a Pahol Yothin cinema customer looks like a money boy, the more chance he is. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my last visits there in July.
I should add that, while I'm in good shape, I'm 183cm, 78kg, go to the gym, etc... I'm 43 years old, so I'm not a catch everywhere in the world. Maybe it's dark enough at the cinema I can pass for 42, or even 41.

Well, mostly if your servicing the guys are less likely to care what you look like.

And maybe less likely to ask for money if I'm doing all the work...

'THE STATE.' CINEMA - Sam Rong ...

-- Sunday, 30 sep., I visiterd THE STATE CINEMA - Sam Rong.;
- ETA./ETD.: approx. 14.15.-16.15.hrs.;
- Adm'n.: 50.Bh.;
- Noted a small stall, opp. the box office, selling snacks etc. etc.;
- Central ent'ce. to the auditorium - some dozen or so steps;
- V. dim once inside - just a few weak lights on the wall to stage LEFT - no lighting at all at stage RIGHT; v. little light reflected back from the silver screen; took a long time for my eyes to adjust;
- I saw parts of two movies: the first was some dubbed in Thai cops & robbers with plenty of shooting; the second purported to be in some ME. country - again full of violence;
- With the o'all. darkness I could not write how many spectators - but did not appear to be all that busy; some walking to and fro along the aisle by the rear wall.
- A long way - at least in time - to go.

- ETA.: soon after 17.hrs.;
- I paid a couple of visits - after arr'l. & before departure - to the usual hawng nahms; the only busy one was on 4fl. near to YUM SAAP and to the Food Ct. - both times good for those who like very mature men.

Stay a while next time, let your eyes adjust, and check out just what's going on along the back wall and in the toilets.
