I will be in Bangkok again mid July to mid August ( this year '07) and always have a great time at the cruising cinemas.

I know the one on Mo Chit and really enjoy this but I was hoping someone could tell me where other similar cinemas are in Bangkok please.

These used to be one in China Town but when I went in early February this year the building had been torn down !

I'd really appreciate names and addresses of other cruising cinemas and your opinion and experiences there.

What is the name of that Mor Chit theatre? Never found one in that area. The only one more or less close by was the Amornpat - and that one is closed.

The only cinema's I know still open are the Paholythin Rama and Prince. Prince is in Chinatown, on Thanon Yaowarat. Within walking distance of Saphan Taksin skytrain station.

I think we all regret it very much, but suck cinema's in Bangkok are going the way of the dodo.

I think that one will find that the PRINCE cinema is NOT in ChinaTown but is in Bang Rak - 1391-93, New Charoen Krung rd. - it's down at end of a v. small soi/arcade that is often full with tables & chairs occupied by happy eaters, if one looks hard enough one will see the box-office with the price of adm'n. prominently visible from the main rd. - lto locate the soi look-for an 'AGFA.' photo.-shop immediately opposite on other side of rd..
Walk down Si Lom rd., (away from Rama IV. rd.), at the Tee junc. with Charoeng Krung you'll see a white on blue sign 'BangRak.'; turn LEFT; cross a soi on your LHS., then immediately after a small beauty salon/barber one will see the v. small soi/arcade to one's LEFT.

Also there is the BANGKHAE RAMA - From Si Lom rd., (on Bank of BKK. side.), take a #547. 'bus., asking for 'Mall, Bangkhae.' - it's about an hour's leisurely 'bus. drive thither; de-bus. at Robinson's/Carrefour supertores; walk on in same dir'n. for approx. 1M. until one's opposite to Petchkasem soi 62/3., (from memory one will have walked under 5 or 6 ped. o'bridges.?), (or else get-off at soi 39.); turn LEFT down the covered arcade, a combination of mkt. and 'bus. terminal, and the cinema will be clearly visible off to one's LEFT.

Take a river-ferry to Nonthaburi; walk straight-off the pier and inland until one comes-to the first major rd.-junc., (it has 3 ped. o'bridges. spanning it?), turn RIGHT and cinema is on one's LHS..

It's been a long time since I've been to BANGKHAE - there's an earlier thread about it somewhere or other were one to look - and even longer since I've been to Nonthaburi.

My mistake. You are completely right. Charoen krung, not yaowarat.

Pity: we used to have a whole bunch of very active cinema's. First the Pradipad closed down. Not too much later the London temporarily shut down, opened again, and show down for good. It's now a condo complex. All the lesser suckcinema's near the London have closed down as well.

Then the New York closed. And that 'other' cinema in the vincinity of the Prince.

What surprises me most is that the few remaining should get a shitload of horny clients, but for whatever reason, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Bangkhae would take about 30-40 minutes from Silom on a Sunday. I've traveled longer for a good cruise.

Whence were you travelling to go thither?
At the time I wrote-down the instructions in a previous thread, followed them and arrived at the destination without too much trouble, and I travelled during a normal week-day: certainly no changes of 'buses., ferries and so on - one 'bus. ride. followed by a walk and I was there!

Every district has at least 5-7 sauna's with naked/orgie/darkrooms all for 100 baht or so. theaters are done and over with- the last few left are sort of ok but u dont have backstage areas where u can join into orgies or just watch and jerk - u cannot go behind the screens and see and have tons of sex the whole day long! neighter toiltes where u could peak and watch-and join- so its all over and done with. there is no need for them- ofcourse guys love to cruise on streets and parks and malls- there is a whole group who dont wanna go or cannot go to sauna's but then u have to start cruising parks and not only lumpini and backsstreets and minor shopping malls thats all still possible and alive. The thai board here - has an 80% drop in activity since the suck cinema's are gone and most messages ask the same questions for directions over and over again so overhere its also dying! not only cause of the suck cinemals but at places like gay.com etc u get tons of response instantly for whatever u want I dont blame anybody for the lack of action here! I also dont post and visit much anymore - there is just never anything interesting going on and i donot see it improving so sad

I see where you're coming from and maybe your point of view is valid of course.
However, I know what I like and what turns me on and the sauna scene no matter how full on and 24/7 is just not my scene --- cruising cinemas are.

I accept that I am maybe a dying breed but as in most areas of my life I will continue to try ntil I either succeed or are forced to accept that I've missed the bus and must re think my approach.

I'm not quite at that point now but I do appreciate your input Josh and wish you well.

PS Thinking about it I thgink that to me and my ilk the turn on is largely the fact that in a cinema guys are dressed -- starting from naked in a sauna or similar leaves nowhere for the excitement to grow to -- if you see what I mean - lol.

Josh4u. - You mentioned cruising in Lumpini Park, I see.
My reply is OFF-topic, but as it's been mentioned herein already I'll risk that.
Lumpini Pk. is better lit then many a main rd. here in BKK.; PLUS almost all of the u'growth. has been cut-away; finally the para-military guards can be quite active , both on their 'cycles. and on foot - the latter especially so along by the klong behind the Lumpini Youth Centre.
I would NOT advise Lumpini Pk. any more. :-(

Sadly I think u missed the bus I donot think ur a dying breed- its just that all the nice suck cinema's are gone ! The places with back stage and back screen cruising were unique and wild. Ask anybody who has been there! Whats left is not much.

I agree on Lumpini - its not so safe and ayor. There are more parks some smaller ones which can be cruisy.

I forgot to mention glory holes- an even worse situation than suck cinema's. There were lots of them and lots were very very hot. I dono but I think in the whole of BKK perhaps u could find 2 or 3 at the most now so sad- does not mean that there is no crowd for this also its just that all those good ones are slammed shut. So its mostly sauna sene now and ofcourse thats very good for 18- 98 u can find ur match in bkk which for older guys in other cities is very often not the case - but suck cinema's naaah no more so so sad!

I've got the names and details of a couple of surviving cinemas and will give them a try and let you know the results.

Meantime can you tell me more about the sauna scene you mention in BKK please?

As I think I metioned I really don't turn onto the scene where guys are already naked - or near enough -- maybe my age showing again lol ! -- so is there any sauna's that maybe are more like the cruising movie houses perhaps ?

Appreciate all your time and imput and will be happy to let you know how I go based on your advice.

Not really, Peter. All the saunas are either towel, underwear, or nothing (sometimes in different zones of the same place).

Possibly ''SUPER A.' A GO-GO BAR.', (just off Soi Anuman., [by 'Solid Bar.'.], wch. itself is off Soi Than Tawan, [between 'Coca.' & 'Mango Tree.' restaurants.],), might be what you're seeking?
The last time that I was in there - about four weeks ago now - there were more boyz in street-clothes than without, wch. isn't really my scene as I prefer like what 'NATURE BOYS.' was until recently - ha!
Drinks in 'SUPER A.' are just 100.oo.Bh..
