Well, the years are starting to take their toll on my eyes, teeth and joints, but "performance" in one of my favorite past times seems to be remarkably resilient.

Certainly one of the great things about Thailand is that you don't need to be pretty to fully enjoy the beauty that abounds here.

- I came into the soi via the back way, (I mean from the Rama IV. rd. end - ha!), and spoke with one of its barkers, who told me that show time would start at 10 o'clock, (22hrs.). Time enough for a small supper in 'Dick's Cafe.' - not too full - beforehand.
- Having sat-down I saw, across the soi, a large poster advertising X-SIZE's 'Mr. ... contest.' and 14 or so trophies on a nearby table.
- I arr'd. at about 21.50hrs., and paid the 300.Bh. adm'n. charge.
- Fairly full - I noticed MORE than the usual amt. of wimmen - that I was shewn to a seat at stage front.
- just a dozen R&F. boyz on parade: a couple of twinks and the rest pretty much the usual run-of-the-mill types.
- No ash-trays put-out that I could see - but a few people smoking ciggies. - phew;
- Hse. lts. dimmed at 22.30.hrs..
- For the first 15 or so mins. we had to endure the badinage, wch. the Ths. seemed to find amusing at times, of two OS./XXL. wimmen: OMG. but they are huge - not the sort that one would want to **** into on a dk. night.
- The flg. acts were presented by the various other bars in the soi and by 'Babylon Sauna.' -
1st.- 4 dancing boyz wearing imitation leather collars and four-lobed leather aprons danced and revealed their assets - lg. by Th. stds. - for all to see;
2nd.- 4 clothed dancing boyz & chantoosie;
3rd.- Katoey danceuse;
4.- Chantoosie;
5.- Chantoosie;
6.- 3 boi dancers & katoey;
7.- 4 boyz who sat-down au naturel and then put-on their see-through and body-hugging tights -through wch. one could see their endowments all too clearly - before dancing;
8.- First part of contest, 14 contestants wearing their street-clothes. Judging was by a gp. of people who sat-back by stage right and held-up the value of their vote, (a disc on a stick.): most boyz scored between 7-9 from the judges; commered by the two fat ladies;
9.- Ethnic dance by the little olde lady whom one used to see in 'Tawan Bar.' ; this time she was wearing some vaguely Indian-type costume. While she danced the two fat lades maintained a constant stream of distracting and background chatter wch. they did not do for the other acts; but several spectators shewed their appreciation in the usual way;
10.- Male stripper - quite well endowed;
11.- 4 boyz in simul'd. s*x act and smoking - well enough endowed for Ths.;
12.- Chantoosie;
13.- 5 boyz, au naturel - leader well endowed - in Candle Show;
14.- Second half of contest: contestants wore briefs - same procedure as above, (#8.); this time having presented themselves they remained on stage, wch. rather blocked some voyeurs' views of other contestants;
15th. and last.- Prize-giving commered by the two fat ladies; as far as I could follow every contestant rec'd. a sash and a trophy; boi #4. was the eventual winner: sash, trophy and financial award!
- Hse. lts. ON again at around 01.25hrs..

-- It must have been some Ladies' night out. as I've never seen somany in a Soi T'light. a go-go bar before - many of them were heftily built, too.
- I should have remembered my lesson from a similar and previous event in 'Tawan Bar.' - never ever give a Th. person a microphone: an open invitation for him/her to blather ad nauseam and a sentence to the farang listeners. Had I not paid 300.bh. I would have quit quite early on - but stoicly I decided to remain right to the bitter end.
- I'd recomend future visitors to sit stage RIGHT: with the bar and CR. at stage LEFT those sitting stage LEFT or FRONT will have their lines-of-sight interrupted constantly by others passing to and fro.
- Back in my acc'n. and undressing I noted that my tee-shirt smelt of nicotine - not too badly but enough to cause my sensitive nose to twitch.

I offed a guy from Hot Male last week; the first time I've taken anyone from that bar. He didn't have much personality, but I really fell for his body. I didn't except much, but I just wanted to give the young man a total tongue bath! If he did much at all I figured it would be bonus. Well ... he was a dud. No big disappointment. But what really annoyed me was that after I paid him 1,200 baht (very fair, I thought, considering he was one of those "just laid there" types) he whined and demanded 1,500. No way, I told him (speaking in Thai). You didn't do much so you don't get much. He continued to sulk. I threw in an extra 100 baht to get rid of him. And then he still wanted the coins that were on the table. He didn't get them. Another thing that pissed me off; when I went to take a shower, he started smoking a cigarette in the other room. I was tempted to hurl both him and the ciggie out the window. Whatever happened to polite and personable bar boys?
By the way, he was #30 if you go to the bar; and IF he is still working there. With that sort of bad attitude I don't think he's going to be around very long.

I can never remember numbers, which in any case, change all the time. By any chance was his name "Ed" or something like that? Ed is about the biggest boy in Hotmale, beefy, but not well defined, about 70 kg and about 1,7metres. His English is better than the rest and that way can be seductive.

If he's not the #30, I'd still warn others against off'ing him. In the room, his services are nil. While he didn't get aggressive with me -- that was years ago -- a friend of mine who made the mistake of taking him recently said he demanded 1800 - 2000 and got aggressive about it too.

Well in defense of the bar, not any particular boy, Hot Male is where I found the guy I was taking off regularly (and who has since been retired from the gogo business). He is a real gem, both in terms of performance and personality.

While I have done my share of offing over the years, I haven't taken off the hundreds of boys that some of you apparently have. Nonetheless, despite having taken off a few who needed to consider a career move, I've never encountered a boy who was aggressive, whiny or demanding.

Not sure if it's down to luck or my subsconscious selection process or if some people just bring out the worst in others. Possibly the starting point for a graduate research-based thesis:" Aggression Triggers Amongst Thai Comfort Boys."

I have to admit, I have taken hundreds of boys, but also have never experienced aggression. I reckon while they all need $$, they also have feelings and many are genuinely looking for "love", and the feeling of being "looked after". If I dont get a feeling of chemistry with the boy, or a feeling that he is attracted to me for more than just $$, I slip him 100 bt and suggest he re-join the parade. I want sex to be fun with a responsive boy, and even if I could off "Adonis" or "David" I wouldn't take him without the right signals. Have not been to Hot Male bar...have enjoyed shows at X,Dream Boy and Jupiter this trip.Should I try ? What is the mix of types there and are there some gems and rough diamonds ?
