Bar reports - BKK

I spent some nights at different BKK-bars last week and, in spite of the rainy season, most was as before. Howewer, very few customers in most places.
NB: I was the only customer and the manager had to wake up sme of the boys. 7 boys in total, most of them same as at prevous visits. They did their best but some (parts) of them were still sleeping.. Not a hit - contrary to most other visits.
GC: Again, I was the only customer (normally that is an big advantage in NB & GC) The door-man (Bier) is nice but the rest not worth a visit. Surprised to see a new, young and REALLY fat boy - so if anyone are into such - please go there.
Solid: Good, friendly and nice as always. Many nice boys and the sitting-lounge up-stairs is perfect and (almost)anything can be done there.
Their "rooms" upstairs are terrible.
My only complaint for that place is the seating. Difficult to see and get contact with the boys.
Super A: What a dump! Worse than before. Avoid!
Screwboy: As reported by others, back in old location. Many customers and plenty of boys circulating.
They choose you - not the othe way around. Good - if you want to meet and talk to boys and are not too interested in a "show"
Very nice!
The other bars at "boys plaza" were all the same as at previous visits. Many boys of different calliber, quite a lot of customers - and lots (to much to my taste) of "fucking shows".

Have also found a really good place for trad Thai-massage (no sex)
Name i something like Metawee Spa. On the same side of Surawongse as Trtawan and very close to that.
Their youg male masseuses are best.
If you prefer massage toppped with some sex you can try Indigo (or something similar) opposite to Tawan and a little to the left if you stand at Tawan.

Hrmmm - I think that was all, for the moment
My next visit is sceduled for September - already looking forward to it

Took visiting friends to several bars the other evening. Future Boys has always been near the top of my list, but we found not only have the boys become more muscular and a lot less less cute, their attitudes have gone downhill. In fact, downright boring.

Classic Boys along the Soi was great fun over the Christmas period. Now it was a just a succession of twinks most of whom looked pretty bored. Even the show lacked all the sparkle it used to have. Muscle is not my cup of tea and I found the show at Tawan grotesque with endlessly long waits between numbers. What happened to the slickness many of these shows used to have? I do wish Extreme and their dance show would return. It was one of the classiest around for a few years.

Solid was fun. There had been a lot of patrons earlier and some of the boys had had a few drinks, so the atmosphere was great. The seating will never suit those wanting to see the 'dancing' (is that what it is?), but the enjoyment in Solid is having a few boys at your table. With drinks at 100 Bt, that's affordable compared to the more commercial establishments. Granted, the layout makes it difficult to see some of the boys, but you can see them easily in the mirrors! If you want to chat to a boy, just ask the mamasan. There's never any obligation if you find you don't really click with him.

Yes Sextile, you are perfectly right.
And I can add that my favorite guys are Mei and Sod. Both approx 19 yīrs old and very good at what they do. Strictly trad. massage.
Oil-massage is not a good alternative and, unusual, these guys donīt recomment it themself.
Mei is on sick-leave for 3-4 weeks after a accident with a motor-bike.
If you go there, please say hello to them from Ron from Sweden.

And Thai massage? 980 for a two-hour no-sex oil massage seems excessive

Well - after that agreeable diversion - shall we return to the bars' scene?

Last saturday evening, after a small supper in 'Dick's Cafe.', (Soi Twilight.), and possibly a dozen & an half happy eaters there?, I went to 'HOTMALE.' a go-go bar for their 22.30hrs. performance.
The entrance and stairway have been redecorated - not before time - and look more inviting;
I arr'd. about 22.20hrs. to find the place fairly full - but not oppressively so; and had a good seat at stage LEFT and right by the walk-around;
Drinks are 200.oo.Bh.;
Adequate air-cond.; not too many people smoking ciggies.; the usual too loud musick through the usual lo-fi. PA.-system; several wimmin;
A fair sel'n. across the spectrum of the R&F. a go-go boyz, all wearing grey colored male briefs with their nos. clearly visible: a couple of plumper ones, mostly the usual run-of-the-mill types and maybe some half-a-dozen slighter framed and more 'Twinkier.' boyz; none of whom really caught my eye or held my att'n. - a few smiled-at us spectators and tried to engage our att'ns. but to little avail, I fear;
House lts. dimmed at 22.30hrs. and the perf. began with four young & male dancers - nothing out of the ordinary; then followed a flourescent-paint dance by a couple of boyz au naturel; next a slightly S&M. act that ended in the four boyz engaged in oral sex; a big c*ck show with nothing really remarkable, a couple's cock-rings were v. much in evidence; another dance by the four boyz and then finally the bold show: a threesome initially, then joined by another stud, so they split-up into two prs., stage work, work using the rings suspended from the ceiling and then both prs. walked-around us voyeurs to give us a close-up of te action, (and in the hope of some TIPS. possibly?),.
The perf. ended at about 23.40hrs..
Then home alone - 'bye..

Thai massage

Silom GWM - as I wrote (and as the massage-boys agreed), avoid the oil massage and go for non-sex Thai-massage for 450 (or maybe it was 400) THB for two hours

12 aug. - KINGDOMWIDE - Queen's b'day.;
13 aug. - DITTO - Substitution day, (to compensate for HM's. b'day. falling-on a sun.),;l
I checked with both 'Dick's Cafe.' and 'HotMale.' a go-go bar, (both in Soi Twilight.), and both told me that they're awaiting the necessary letter from the local Police as to whether they'll be permitted to sell alcohol for public consumption on 12th..
Last night, (fri.), both 'JUPITER.' & 'TAWAN.' bars were awaiting official info. still; but the latter bar reminded me that last year they were CLOSED for this event.
This morning I checked with 'BAVANA COFFEE SHOP.' and they will NOT be selling alcohol tomorrow, sun. & Queen's b'day. - like last yr..

19 aug. - NATIONWIDE - Referendum day;
20 aug.- DITTO - Special public holiday?
Possibly 'Referendum day.' may be treated like an election day, wch. would mean the CLOSURE from 181800hrs. until 192400hrs. of most public bars, clubs, discos. and so on and NO sales of alcohol for public consumption during that period?
'bye..

19 aug. - NATIONWIDE - Referendum day;
According to a report in today's 'BKK. Post.' Referendum day does NOT fall-under the usual election day rules & regs. - hence public sales & consumption of alcohol will be permitted.
As voting in this Referendum means returning to one's home country to participate I don't know - as yet - how the bars, clubs, discos. will be affected?
20 aug. - DITTO - Banks will be OPEN.
'bye..

For me the oil massage is the worst .. it's fine when applied but you can't wash all the damn oil off. Walking in heat with oil here and there is pretty gross

I am just back from a couple of nights in Bangkok and what a great time I had.

Dick's Cafe is superb for watching the world go by and chatting to friends old and new. Happily the owner Mr Lucas is making progress back to good health.

Tawan Bar seemed at a peak with lots of guys and a reasonable number of customers. Why oh why does the owner put on a katoey show there? The boys are looking fit and there are a few handsome new ones who are not too big. I have wonderful times there - even at 240 baht a drink.

Future Boys - I ventured back after problems and nobody asked if I wanted to buy my companions boys a drink!! They have some very attractive lads there and a fairly fun show.

As I walked down Soi Twighlight/ Duangathawee Plaza / Soi Boy I saw a superb body doing crunches outside X Boy. I lingered admiring and the Mamasan came out ad tried to get me to off him. I was tempted but said I would call by later which I did but he was booked by then. They had some very nice guys and the fuck show was pretty good - it's long time since I have said that. The bottom was handsome and had a good body and a nice stiffy which stayed that way. After the athletics they passed amongst the audience collecting tips.

Wisely I skipped on Dream Boys 9th Anniversary party - crammed rooms full of smoke I do not like.

Late one nighty I wandered down Rama IV between Suriwong and Silom - only one money boy around.

For a change I tried Unico Grande Silom Hotel ( previously Tower Inn ) The executive rooms at 1700 baht via Asia Rooms are the same as the standard rooms when I stayed there seven years ago - tired? I think rigor mortis is commencing. The refurnished DeLuxe rooms I had a peek at but was not impressed. Back to the Pinnacle Lumphini for me (1170 baht a night via Mr Jimmy ) or should try The Plaza?

Wowpow, if you can stretch to Bt1999 (internet rate) I strongly recommend the other Unico, the brand new Unico Grand Sathorn, in Soi Pipat 2 opposite Trinity . Huge very comfy aircon rooms, full kitchen, free broadband, good buffet breakfast and closer to the action than the old Tower inn. Book the cheapest room you can..they're all good. Guests no prob...but if you only book the room for 1 they charge 200 for extra b'fast. Book room for 2 people and its included.

12 aug. - KINGDOMWIDE - HM. the Queen's b'day.:
1.1.- Last night, (sat.), at about 18hrs. I checked with 'Screwboys.', (Phat Pong 2.), as to whether they'd be OPEN on sunday?
The owner/mngr., (?), forthrighly said that they would.
1.2.- Then at around 22hrs. I checked the same with 'Dick's Cafe.', (Soi Twilight.),?
Their evenings' mngr. said that NO notification to the contrary had been rec'd. from the Police and therefore he would expect all the whole soi to be OPEN as usual on the 12th..
E&OE.; TIT..

biggles - Thanks for your advice. Unico Grande Sathron is new and looks nice. I don't see 1 1999 baht rate on their website the cheapest is 3200 baht ++. They have a Platignum Package but it does not show any rates.

Anyway AsiaRooms seem to have it at 2200 baht inc tax and service not breakfast. AsiaTravel have rooms from 200o baht inc breakfast. I may well give it a try. So many places want joiners fees these days.

Thank you.
