I spent some nights at different BKK-bars last week and, in spite of the rainy season, most was as before. Howewer, very few customers in most places.
NB: I was the only customer and the manager had to wake up sme of the boys. 7 boys in total, most of them same as at prevous visits. They did their best but some (parts) of them were still sleeping.. Not a hit - contrary to most other visits.
GC: Again, I was the only customer (normally that is an big advantage in NB & GC) The door-man (Bier) is nice but the rest not worth a visit. Surprised to see a new, young and REALLY fat boy - so if anyone are into such - please go there.
Solid: Good, friendly and nice as always. Many nice boys and the sitting-lounge up-stairs is perfect and (almost)anything can be done there.
Their "rooms" upstairs are terrible.
My only complaint for that place is the seating. Difficult to see and get contact with the boys.
Super A: What a dump! Worse than before. Avoid!
Screwboy: As reported by others, back in old location. Many customers and plenty of boys circulating.
They choose you - not the othe way around. Good - if you want to meet and talk to boys and are not too interested in a "show"

The other bars at "boys plaza" were all the same as at previous visits. Many boys of different calliber, quite a lot of customers - and lots (to much to my taste) of "fucking shows".

Have also found a really good place for trad Thai-massage (no sex)
Name i something like Metawee Spa. On the same side of Surawongse as Trtawan and very close to that.
Their youg male masseuses are best.
If you prefer massage toppped with some sex you can try Indigo (or something similar) opposite to Tawan and a little to the left if you stand at Tawan.

Took visiting friends to several bars the other evening. Future Boys has always been near the top of my list, but we found not only have the boys become more muscular and a lot less less cute, their attitudes have gone downhill. In fact, downright boring.

Classic Boys along the Soi was great fun over the Christmas period. Now it was a just a succession of twinks most of whom looked pretty bored. Even the show lacked all the sparkle it used to have. Muscle is not my cup of tea and I found the show at Tawan grotesque with endlessly long waits between numbers. What happened to the slickness many of these shows used to have? I do wish Extreme and their dance show would return. It was one of the classiest around for a few years.

Solid was fun. There had been a lot of patrons earlier and some of the boys had had a few drinks, so the atmosphere was great. The seating will never suit those wanting to see the 'dancing' (is that what it is?), but the enjoyment in Solid is having a few boys at your table. With drinks at 100 Bt, that's affordable compared to the more commercial establishments. Granted, the layout makes it difficult to see some of the boys, but you can see them easily in the mirrors! If you want to chat to a boy, just ask the mamasan. There's never any obligation if you find you don't really click with him.

I am just back from a couple of nights in Bangkok and what a great time I had.

Dick's Cafe is superb for watching the world go by and chatting to friends old and new. Happily the owner Mr Lucas is making progress back to good health.

Tawan Bar seemed at a peak with lots of guys and a reasonable number of customers. Why oh why does the owner put on a katoey show there? The boys are looking fit and there are a few handsome new ones who are not too big. I have wonderful times there - even at 240 baht a drink.

Wowpow, if you can stretch to Bt1999 (internet rate) I strongly recommend the other Unico, the brand new Unico Grand Sathorn, in Soi Pipat 2 opposite Trinity . Huge very comfy aircon rooms, full kitchen, free broadband, good buffet breakfast and closer to the action than the old Tower inn. Book the cheapest room you can..they're all good. Guests no prob...but if you only book the room for 1 they charge 200 for extra b'fast. Book room for 2 people and its included.

12 aug. - KINGDOMWIDE - HM. the Queen's b'day.:
1.1.- Last night, (sat.), at about 18hrs. I checked with 'Screwboys.', (Phat Pong 2.), as to whether they'd be OPEN on sunday?
The owner/mngr., (?), forthrighly said that they would.
1.2.- Then at around 22hrs. I checked the same with 'Dick's Cafe.', (Soi Twilight.),?
Their evenings' mngr. said that NO notification to the contrary had been rec'd. from the Police and therefore he would expect all the whole soi to be OPEN as usual on the 12th..

biggles - Thanks for your advice. Unico Grande Sathron is new and looks nice. I don't see 1 1999 baht rate on their website the cheapest is 3200 baht ++. They have a Platignum Package but it does not show any rates.

Anyway AsiaRooms seem to have it at 2200 baht inc tax and service not breakfast. AsiaTravel have rooms from 200o baht inc breakfast. I may well give it a try. So many places want joiners fees these days.

Yes I have stayed there before, about 2 years ago, when I had virtually no other choice. Location is great but I doubt if I will stay there again.

The hotel is apparently Church-affiliated and imposes joiner fee.

The rooms are pretty basic, with tired furnishings.

Appears to serve budget tourists from India, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc. Not gay-friendly at all.

They lost my (prepaid) reservation and there was some hassle before they gave me a room. They wanted to charge me all over again when I had prepaid the first night.

The Trinity Group seem to be a conglomerate of businesses in the area. It would seem that they are Christians and Roman Catholics. Outside their main office is a, Spirit House looking, shrine to the Virgin Mary.

Like sloot, I stayed there a few years ago and have not returned. The lobby is quite nice looking but the rooms are very sad. The location I found so-so. It is quite handy for Ching Nonsi on the skytrain but access to Silom is though a crowded busy street market.

I did take a Tawan joiner to my room without any comment or stare.

I well remember the breakfast. It was a buffet with chaffing dishes to hold the warm food. These are open to abuse and I have seen them being loaded with cold food at midnight and then they just light the flame underneath to warm the food for breakfast. Here they had forgotten to light the heater. Everything was stone cold and I was the only one to complain.

I thought the best thing about the place was the Villa Supermarket next door.

The R&F. a go-go boyz are organised into two gps.; instead of the more usual practice of boyz coming-on stage, moving-around in sequence and then leaving, here one gp. of boyz stays on stage for a certain length of time and then leaves as a gp. to be replaced by the other gp. for a while before the latter step-off and the foremr gp. returns.
House lights dimmed at around 22.10hrs. and after a few more moments of intro. music the curtains raised for the first act: 2 boyz with hula hoops, one of whom was skillful enough to keep his hoop revolving even although, using the rings and ladders, his body was HORIZ'L..
I didn't count the number of other acts, there were no ethnic/dancing numbers, nor any katoey lip-synchers; most of the acts featured at least one boi, more often the lot, performing au naturel - and mostly those boyz were either semi or completely erect.
Looking at how the acts were presented I'd say that the best seats would be ring-side stage front, followed by ring-side stage RIGHT.

6.- To the bar's RIGHT, and against the back wall is further seating space that enjoys lesser illumination!
Sitting at the centre one of the three tables I did find the coloured lighting troublesome as, while it illuminated the boyz on the stages, it shone into my eyes, too;

The outside as you can see above ( That's Mr Tan enjoying and ice cream ) and the inside boasts a stage built of glass bricks with underlights mostly pink but can vary. The central stage goes back to a couple of gilded part female, part animal deities behind which is a glass door to the shower area. The stage still has sequined rushed curtains which raise and lower for no apparent reason. The seating is tiered so there are good views from everywhere. There are three podiums adjacent to the stage where boys actually go-go dance enthusiastically. Service seems deft and drinks are 220 baht - maybe more Fri and Sat? Mamasans are a bit pushy and queeny but they seem to hit on me for some reason - frequently asking which boy I want to off. They seem to have 25 to 30 guys there all masculine and athletic types. The show starts at 10.10, or did that night. I read elsewhere and was told by the Mamasan that the show lasted 90 minutes so I times it and it was less than 70 minutes. The show was pretty good as these things go with plenty of nudity and sizable erections in every section. No katoeys even in the fuck show which was unusual as was the a putting competition - guess what they used for putters. Two masculine guys came on the messed around and the one fucked the other and then they changed round and then a third one made a sandwich. Later they formed two couples and toured the audience though tips seems scarce. The finale was the big cock show. I measured one of the larger ones - I had a tape measure in my bag and it was a generous 7 inches. Yes he has been around for a while.

Yes I also lusted after Wee when he was at Boys Bangkok. One of the waiters there I know quite well told me not to even think about it as he only wanted girls and simply did not go with farang men. Wee is apparently madly in love....with Wee! ...and no one else is good enough for him.

-- Last evening, sat., after supping in 'Dick's Cafe.', (Soi Twilight.), I went to 'HOTMALE.', (Soi Twilight.), for their first show at 22.15hrs..
- I arr'd. about 21.50hrs. to find te place not too full.
- Drinks are priced at 200.Bh..
- Neither the Bar Capt's. nor the boyz were pushy.
- While I didn't make an head-count I'd say that about 40 R&F. boyz were on parade, a fairly run-of-the-mill sel'n. of whom none of held my att'n.. The boyz were wearing briefs as opposed to many other places' men's boxers.
- House lts. powered OFF at around 22.17hrs..
- As might be expected most of the spectators started arriving after the start of the show. I noted quite a few wimmin amongst them, whose facial expressions were a joy to behold, especially during the final two acts: a mixt ure of fascination and repugnance. Some of the male farangs couldn't seem to get enough, either.
- A variety of acts; from an admittedly amnesic memory one saw -
- Five boyz dancing;
- Two boyz au naturel in a flour. paint dance;
- Three boyz in an S&M. show with oral s*x;
- Five boyz, all au naturel dancing, (a couple well endowed!),;
- The usual Big **** Show in wch. #24. - if I heard the LO-Fi. sound system aright - a short and stocky body, was the most well-endowed, (and might given even Khun Wee of 'X-Boys.' a run for his money.), although, as I was sitting back from the stage, it was difficult to tell if there was any artifical enhancement employed;
- The usual & concluding Bold Show wch. began with just a couple, then a threesome, then a total of 8 boyz on stage, so there was quite a turn-around of T*ps! Eventually they settled-down into a couple of prs. who, after a while ON-stage, circulated amongst us voyeurs, to the evident increase in their financial gains! Both prs. concluded with swinging from the o'hd. rings. This is by far the best Bold Show that I've seen in Soi T'light.; both B*tt*ms are quite adequately endowed men who seemed to enjoy all the att'n. and favours that they were receiving!

One of the oldest go go bars in Pattaya is Star Boys. It was located in a soi on the other side of 2nd Road from Boys Town and has just closed (after maybe 15years there) to relocate into Boys Town. Wonder if its connected?
