Has anyone tried Sukhothai Massage on Silom Road? It's on the left hand side of the road, just before you get to Silom Complex. I hear that although it is a "traditional" massage place, many extras are available for the right price. I would be very interested in any experiences or recommendations.

I had heard good things about the place, so sent a visiting friend who was looking for an above-average massage from a guy. He came back saying that the massage was fantastic -- much better than he had ever experienced at a "sex massage" place. Although Sukhothai is not a full-service sex place, he was offered a hand job. He did not tell me the name of the masseur, but did mention that he was not at all attractive.

Another friend is a usual there, and he has not been offered any titillation of any kind.

I think it's best as a place to get a professional massage from a guy, with maybe -- maybe a hand job. I would not treat it as you would a full-service sex place.

Thanks, Icon. Nice to see you are still around and cruising after all these years! Always full of good information and advice. Did you friend accept the offer of hand release and, if so, do you know what he paid as a tip? I quite like the idea that one might or might not be offered extra services. I do enjoy the titillation of not knowing - will he or won't he? Makes it more fun.

He did accept the hand job, but I'm not sure how much tip was given. Personally, I think a hand job is worth about 300 baht in a place like this. No idea what the boy expects, though.

Several months ago I went-to 'SUKOTHAI MASSAGE.' as my usual masseur wasn't available, and also on a well-meaning friend's recommendation.
Reception is to one's LEFT after entering; at that time there was some woman on duty who listened to my requirements: "90mins. oil massage." and assigned me to one of the waiting masseurs.

We went upstairs to the 1st. floor and into a small cabin with a matress, covered by a clean sheet, on the floor and a couple of pillows at its head.
The massage was alright, although nothing to write home about; no happy ending or even a suggestion of one.
Afterwards a shower, clean and adequate, and that was that.
Personally I'd prefer to recommend 'SILOM MASSAGE.' almost opp. to 'Sukothai.' on the other side of Si Lom rd., almost by the start of te BTS. escalators up to Sala Daeng stn., (S2.),. 'SM.' offers a booklet of six tkts. for just 1,250.oo.Bh. - a savings of 250.Bh.. Masseur John would be my recommendation - but he does NOT give 'Happy enddings.' - just a thoroughly professional & straight massage.

I've given Sukothai Massage my "3-tries" rule.....try a place 3 times before passing judgement on it.

My 3 times at Sukothai have been as varied as they could possibly be:

The first time, I got a majorly hung guy who was much less about massaging and much more about fucking. (As it turns out, I had "met" this guy a few years back at Tony Massage and he remembered me.) I was happy to give this guy a THB 1,000 tip.

The second time, the lad was happy to give me a hand job and happy to have me give him one. He did, however, expect THB 1,000 for the "service".

The third time, the young man was NOT about anthing sexual at all. He didn't touch my "parts" and wouldn't even let me touch his leg....much less anything else. This guy seemed put off when I gave him a THB 500 tip....which I thought was excessive.

You should note that, at Sukothai, you don't get to choose your massuere. There's no "line-up"....the mamasan simply chooses a guy for you.

Because there are SO many other massage places to choose from, I don't plan a 4th trip to Sukothai.

I am curious why someone would try to find action at a somewhat "legit" massage place.

Providing you find happiness with the first boy and then tipping him 1,000 bht, why not go to, say, Hero or Arena where you are practically guaranteed a happy ending and the tip is the same?

I am on a "massage circuit" which includes all the decent places. But, when a new place pops up, I give it three tries before deciding whether to put it on the "circuit". Sukothai isn't on my list.
