Pattaya

So can the Pattaya people offer any news on the local scene, please.

Especially the two new go-go bars, and massage venues.

Thanks.

sextile 11th July 2009 10:52 PM

-- While in PATTAYA recently I went to the following massage parlor -

NARCISSUS.,
- addr.: 329/39 moo 10., Pattayaland 13/1. Second rd.,
BANGLAMUNG, CHONBURI, 20260.;
- tel.: (038)-710 863.;
- e-mail: [email removed]
- hrs.: daily, 13.-01.oo.hrs.;

- After I'd sat-down about ten masseurs - none of whom is eye-candy - sat-down opposite. They were wearing white & numbered vests over white shorts.
- The price list is for 60. & for 120.minutes services; however, and after a bit of haggling, the Mamasan - quite fair English & chatty - agreed on 90mins. & oil-massage for 500.Bh.. There is a MINIMUM TIP. of either 500. or of 700.Bh. - I forget which. :o
- I didn't ask the M'san. for any guidance and chose masseur #26.: Khun Tew.
- We went upstairs to the massage room: approx. 7x11ft. PLUS a bay window and with the standard massage-table with clean sheets; the wall to the next room was cut-away to allow both rooms to share a common air-cond..
- The 4 common showers are in what looks like an extension/out-house - but clean and with running H&C. and liquid & scented soap. Khun Tew & I showered separately.
- Khun Tew is 27YO.; comes from SOUTH of CHIANG MAI; speaks quite fair & conversational English; has been there just a few weeks as in his previous job - waiter in a BKK. restaurant - was too much hard work for little pay.
- Khun Tew started by wiping both of my feet with a COLD & lemon scented cloth. After that he spent MORE than 30mins. on my legs before moving up to my back which rec'd. LESS time before it was time to turn-over. Very little attention to those parts 'On Which the sun ... .'.
- He mentioned that he's a TOP - uncut & aprox. 5ins. LOA. - and doesn't really like to be smoked; just as I added that 'Hand jobs.' aren't really my favorite form of release. However, when it came to my sitting-up for him to massage my shoulders events conspired to prove us wrong - ha!;)
- I'd rate the massage at about 6/10; the after massage was pleasant but nothing out of the ordinary.
- After the end-of-massage showers I went downstairs and where I wasn't offered either tea or water.
- After giving Khun Tew his TIP. I was embraced & hugged warmly, and left with his and the other masseurs' voices pressing me to return soon.
- Overall impression is that the place is clean - but it pays to select one's masseur. The next day my farang friend went thither and chose the blonde-haired masseur; he vowed that he would not be applying his usual 'Three strikes' rule.' as a result.

Narcissus Massage, Pattaya

Thank you for that helpful report. I've walked past that establishment many times, but somehow never tried it. I should make an effort to do so next time I'm in Pattaya.

I've been meaning to ask for a long time - what does "LOA" stand for?

As for your friend and his blonde choice, not applying the "three strikes rules" can mean two opposite things: It's so bad there is no second chance, or it's so good, the testing scheme is waived. Which is it?

- LOA. is an abbreviation for Length OverAll; you may have come-across it when buying your luxurious sloop which I see moored in the bay - ha! ;)

Sunnee Plaza

It would be a shame if some of the comments above put people off Sunee Plaza. Some of what is said is certainly true. Some bars have underage boys, but that happens in Boystown too, although less, I agree.
If you do want to take silly risks you take a boy who appears to be possibly underage. Do not rely on the ID unless it is very clearly the right boy.
But Sunnee has a big number of host bars with boys of a suitable age, a relaxed atmosphere and patrons who enjoy the area much more that the stuffy and more expensive Boystown. Restaurants alone are equally good and far less expensive, especially if you go towards Tuk Com.
Quite often there will be many more customers in Sunnee than Boystown and very few are looking for underage boys. So don't miss out.
I do wonder if the anti-Sunnee comments come from Boystown commercial interests. Sunnee certainly gives them a big headache!

Excuse me if I sound absolutely stupid again, but is there some sort of enmity or rivalry between the patrons of Boystown and Sunnee? I've noticed comments and comparisons like this in the past and often wondered what the reason for the feud might have been.

Anyone care to explain?

Boyztown, as well as the Pattaya Land Sois that many people now tend to include when using the term Boyztown, have a longer history and traditionally were considered higher class operations.

Years ago Sunee bars like Crazy Pub (not to be confused with either Krazy Dragon or the current Crazy Pub) were notorious for their sleaze. Places like Boys Studio, Nok Nok, etc were a bit higher class, but still tended to be on the raunchy side compared to the bars of Boyztown that the more timid gays and busloads of wide-eyed straight tourists patronized.

There has also been greater evidence of underage boys, availability of drugs and free lance "workers" moving around Sunee... justified, but overblown.

So there was a tendency for the one to look down their (surgically enhanced) noses at the other.

In recent years Sunee, and to a less successful extent, Day-Night have grown both in the number of small bars with short life expectancy and the better, well equipped bars like Krazy Dragon and TopMan (now closed) and BIrd Cage (now closed).

So there is the plain & simple competition of business wanting to draw customers, but that competition tends to veer off into suggestions that Sunee is the cheaper, raunchier, riskier poor cousin of Boyztown ... again somewhat justified, but way overblown.

Incidentally, Taoboxer, I ran across a downloadable (I think) video entitled Thai Boxing Boy Sex Massage which made me think of you and your "interest" in Muay Thai. You might find it good viewing: http://asianboys.sensualwriter.com/ ) At the moment it's the first video on the page linked, but it will move down as new things are added).

impalauk 31st July 2009 03:56 AM

I agree with the comments above, and add a few more.
Firstly, there is no enmity at all that I have seen between patrons of the two areas.
There is also a tendency for the tourists to be in Boystown while the residents tend to prefer Sunnee Plaza.
But very few residents will not visit both locations.
Most residents have a choice of the expensive host bars in Boystown, the best of which is probably Panorama, and the more relaxed, more numerous and less expensive bars in Sunnee.

scoops 31st July 2009 04:38 AM

Another twist, I have some concerns about the Sunee area in terms of the consequences of being seen there. This area does have an image of underage boys and drugs, which surely has some truth, but (as already mentioned) perhaps a little overblown.

Some of us work here in Thailand and being identified / photographed in that area could have some dire consequences. (And please don't scream about human rights.)

In fact I have one farang friend who has worked here in Thailand for a long long time and he's been 'moved on' by two employers who somehow got hold of photos taken in this area, including one photo with bikini clad youngters milling around (quite probably all over 18 but never the less very young looking).

In Pattaya and Jomtiem recently I was disappointed by the looks of most of the massuers sitting outside the massage places spruiking for business. There was not much on display to interest me to go inside.

I was just about mugged near the Two Face bar in Jomtiem by one of their massage guys desperate to get a customer. Most of the guys in Boyztown looked like retired taxi drivers. Maybe the good lookers are bored sitting there all day waiting for a client and have gone back to the village till the high season (if there is one this year).

- He's 30YO.; body still in good shape.
- Discreetly he shewed his endowment: uncut, of avg. length but with a smoker's delight of a glans!
- After a gen'l. conversation he and I went to DD. INN, (see earlier post.),.
- Khun Tuey said that he is neither a Top nor a Bottom. In fact he prefers to be rimmed and to mouth fuck enthusiastically!

I was finally able to pull myself away from my work in BKK for a short vacation down Pattaya way (7/28-8/2). Although I don't have the time at the moment to write any detailed reports on specific bars, I will say that without a doubt the Pattaya bar scene makes Bangkok seem miserable, oppressed and grossly expensive.

Customers were in very short supply in many bars and in some cases I was the only customer. Even as the only customer, however, I never felt pressured or uncomfortable. The atmosphere was very friendly and fun-loving in all the bars I visited.

I spent an equal amount of time between Boys Town and Sunee and found Sunee to be more welcoming and relaxing (and, of course, less expensive). Both areas, however, put the Bangkok scene to shame IMHO.

I do believe that I'll be taking another weekend trip down to Pattaya in the near future rather than a typical Friday night in Silom.

If I were not still in my early 40s and working for a living, I would indeed consider a move to Pattaya (although I do truly like Bangkok for its over all lifestyle/metro buzz). Back in about 2002, I actually lived in Pattaya (Center Condo) for a year before deciding to make Thailand a second home and seeking employment here. One simply cannot find (is very, very difficult to find) a position such as mine in the Pattaya area and thus BKK became my home.

Hi guys,

I will come for the first time in Pattaya in october. Usually, I like to go in Tawan bar for their bodybuilders. I rent an appartment in Pattaya because of the bodybuilding contest but it was postponed. I'm affraid I cannot find muscle guys in Pattaya. Is there places with guys with great abs, not skinny type ?
If not, do you know if it is possible to take a well muscled guy from Bangkok for a few days ? How do you usually pay him for 4 days ?

Thanks.

Wild West Boys

If the rumor mill is to be believed, Wild West Boys was on the ropes but has been bought by someone who intends to continue to operate it more or less as is.

Unfortunately my source of information is NOT someone familiar with the " whole gamut of Thai society, scholastics, others in business or with reaches into various gov't. dep'ts," but hopefully the information is still reliable.:D

There are some bigger guys like these at places like Body Club and BoyzBoyzBoyz, but not really the body builder type.

http://www.bodyclub-pattaya.com/images/home.jpg

Otherwise, you might find the type you're looking for by chance in one of the other bars, but these are the dog days of August, so you may spend a lot of time going from bar to bar without a high probability of success.

You really want to make sure you "know" the boy a little bit before proposing that some guy in a bar take off for four days with you in Pattaya. Great abs may not mean an enjoyable 24 hour-a-day travel companion.

Then it's really up to you to ask some guy.If he has a wife and kids or is preparing for some body builder event, he probably won't like the idea. If he agrees, you pay the bar 4 times the off-fee (or give it to the boy and let him decide if he wants to call in sick and pocket the money).

Obviously you pay for all expenses and you agree with him on some amount for the tip. For a guy from a place like Tawan, for four full days, I think you're looking at a minimum of B10,000 to B15,000.

Yo, Imenard. The good news is you can actually off Tawan boys and bring them to Pattaya with you for a few days.

Surely included: You pay for the room, and they eat with you and you foot the bill at the restaurants or local eateries. If they are willing to drive you there in their trucks/cars, expected you top up the gas both ways. Otherwise, you pay for 2 pax transport to Pattaya. Incidentals like buy water or snacks (or condoms/lube) from 7-11, etc. still quite okay. But, anything you are not comfortable with after the first time, just tell them. E.g. you don't smoke, and tell them you won't pay for their cigarettes because you think its bad. Perfecto.

Tips: Its best that you can ask if they want to go with you, and negotiate with them while inside Tawan before you off them. You can based on per night off, and it can work 1500-2500THB per day. 6000THB for some boys could be a good 4 days of work, for some "stars", 8000THB is respectable. 10,000THB for 4 days including relaxation (sleep or play all day) and two or three nice meals is very good. I've heard of some customers who had off a certain boy a few times for short-time before, suddenly decide to bring them there, and the boy drops everything and go with them. At the end of 4 days the tip is a bad surprise. Sometimes, they only pay 1000THB per day which is quite a disgrace.

Everything else: Not needed but really up to both of you: Like shopping, go-kart, banana boat rides or whatever. You must be in control, or you won't enjoy it at the end of 4 days.

lmenard 18th August 2009 11:30 AM

Hi,

That is a very good news. I will arrive in Bangkok the week after the national games contest of september 14th. They will still in a very good shape. So, I can meet my favorite for a few days and propose him to go with me when I return in mid october after the big part of my holidays in Indonesia.
He will probably finish his diet. For the tip, i think around 10,000thb is a good average. When you add the off fee and a overnight it is about the same for 4 days. In addition, as there are youngs you can have more than one private moment per day and as I need to loose weight maybe help me with a few routines.
Do you have to pay the off fee or the boy can take a few vacation days ?

Cheers

Jaidee 18th August 2009 05:16 PM

Naturally you'll pay the off fee. The boy is not taking a vacation. He's simply working on assignment.

If things start to pick up in October and your "favorite" is one of the prima donnas, you may not find him too enthusiastic to spend 4 days waiting on you hand & foot, and having numerous "private moments," especially for B10,000. Rightly or wrongly the guys at Tawan tend to have a high opinion of themselves and they also tend to be more "seasoned in the trade."

You might think spending 4 days in Pattaya will be a real treat, but many of those guys like to get a quick off early in the evening so they can go home or wherever.

Do report back to us on how it works out. Maybe if it's a clueless newbie fresh from Issan it will work out.

Jaidee is right. They expect you to pay the off fee too, so that's 400THB per day.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it.

Its not that the boys are so calculative, you must understand that Tawan bar will get it from the boy when he returns. So, if you don't pay for it, it will still minus off from what he gets. :(

General update on Pattaya. Bars close, bars open.. it's a constantly changing scene.. which is part of the fun of pattaya. generally absolultely spoiled for choice of good looking 20 something guys in the Boystown area (start with drinks at Panorama and let your eyes do the walking.) Massage boys in Botystown looking very ripe and tasty now, and really nice boys in Funny Poys and Toy Boys. Wild West has gone down hill with most of the boys looking past their use by date, and I have not changed my opinion on A-Bomb. .. pushy mamasan is an A-hole and the boys all mainly very "puuchai" If you're the type who wants to get ramed its probably your scene. Sunnee getting lots of Police attention and some new bars opening with 20 + boys.

Vassa (Boy'sTown) has closed and Cat's Place is the new Rock Hard with an intimate back room and fun boys who approach. Happy bar still a happy place but very few boys on the beach at the moment. Weather is great (what wet season?) life is inexpensive and 1,000 bt is accepted with a smile for overnight. Sanook maak :)

Hi,
What do you mean by very "puuchai" ?
I come in Pattaya next month and I'm a bottom. So this bar A-Bomb might be interesting.

Thanks,
Lionel

Good place to stay?

I will be returning to Thailand on 3rd October and will take my Thai BF to Pattaya for 3 nights. Can anyone advise a good place to stay? I like gay friendly places and am prepared to spend around 5000 baht per night. As we are into group sex, the hotel will need to be OK with us bringing 1 or 2 barboys back for the night.

Well with a 5,000 bt budget, and occupancy still around 30 - 40 % you should have your pick of the 5 star resort hotels. Royal Cliff (Terraces) is a good bet (has many entrances, great pools, views etc) or the Sheraton resort. You can access all the lodges from the car park and I have taken boys there without problem before. You'll have to take a baht bus or motocycle taxis but they're both mid way betwen Pattaya (night life) and Jomtien (beach) so good locations.

Sansuk Sauna & Guesthouse Pattaya, Thailand
- For their loc'n. go to the flg. web-site:
Pattaya Globus Directory
- For Google Earthlings it's pos'n. is roughly around

Thanks for the help everyone. I thought maybe "Rabbit" - but maybe it is too family oriented - although seems quite close to the gay beach. Also, what about "Dusit D2 Baraquda" - looks new, trendy and close to Boyztown? Sansuk looks isolated although I liked promotional video - seems a lot like Babylon in Bangkok and that is a plus as far as I am concerned.
