Recently bumped into Solid Bar again after having not been there for a long time. The atmosphere was as usual: Friendly boys, helpful mamasan who was not pushy at all. Off fee: 300, drinks: 100.. Shorttime: 1000. I wonder why this bar does not attract more customers. The boy I offed was very friendly and willing. In general the boys are more on the younger side (twinks) but definetely of legal age. Next day at Hot Male: Off fee 400, shorttime 1500 pushy mamasan, drinks more than double. Usual"show" , nothing special. The boys are a mix of twinks and guys up to 30 something and seem to be friendly. BTW Anybody ever offed Nr. 18 or 20 of Hot Male? PM welcome.

- I was joined straight away by #39., Khun SOHN, whom I meet from time-to-time, 'Walking & looking.' in SILOM COMPLEX SHOPPING PLAZA, and when he's not seated in the 'Bird Cage.'.
- Most of the boyz are v. much on the younger side, with MORE than an handful being twinkie queans: especially #8. & #11; to these olde & rheumy eyes #8. looked to be a young boi still, but I was assured that he's over 20YO.; while I'm sure that he'd be fun in bed - and would possibly try and take control - yet I felt that he would be quite demanding, especially after play-time was finished! The maturest looking boi is #35., a chocolate boi, quite well built and seemingly better endowed than most of the other boyz.
- I saw only a couple or three other farangs within - not so good for a sat. evening, I thought; there were only two 'Offs.' that whole evening.

- Unlike say SUPER A there was no public hanky-panky between visitors and their boyz.

Just read that Solid has a "lounge" upstairs. What is it like? Light, seating, privacy etc. ? Is POW (pron. power) still working there? Heard that Hotmale has added some rooms from the neighbour house and there is heavy construction working happening (?). Being a twink lover, always hope to find something I like at Solid ... but I never do. Over the past few years I've just never seen much that tempted me in that bar. I WANT to like it, but the bar just doesn't click for me. I hate way they have the customer seating, and I find the selection of boys is good but not great. By contrast I usually find something to drool over at Hot Male. Not a lot, but maybe one or two out of the entire crew. Which is enough. I've offed 3 different guys there this year. One was a total dud, one was fair, and one was very hot. But when I offed the hot one a second time, about a week later, he had regressed into a waste of time. I guess the 300 are for the "room" upstairs which is not very "inviting" . Had this experience once, never again if it can be avoided. Maybe this place is similar to Happy Boys in Pattaya and maybe Hotmale is planning the same kind of playground, too. Who can enlighten us?

Solid Bar


The upstairs lounge area at Solid is a place where you can get to know your selected boy/boys before you off them from the bar. I have never been charged for going up there with a boy. Usually it is for mutual groping, in a relatively private balcony area. I have evenbeen smoked by a boy up there before now.

I have always bought my selected boy/boys a drink before going upstairs with them, and tipping them afterwards if I decide not to of them.

Solid may still have rooms further upstairs, which are relatively basic, but serve a purpose if you want a short time with a boy rather than going to hotel.

The balcony area I used during a visit in November, but is is a couple of years since I used their upstairs short time room.

To sum up the various comments, Solid has two 'upstairs'. The mezzanine level is a dark lounge-type area. After chatting up a boy and buying him a drink, if you like him you can take him there for a mutual grope, get his pants down, inspect the merchandise, sucking and fondling. It's not supposed to be for anal sex, but I believe it does sometimes happen. Remember, you may not be alone up there! Tip will depend on what you do and the pleasure you receive.

Two floors further up are 4 cabin-type rooms. They are relatively spacious with largish beds - no covering apart from the vinyl. There is also a rather basic shower/toilet. I have not used them for ages, but they used to be very clean, and I always found Solid boys fun to be with.

As a regualr visitor to Solid (and it's predecor opposite Tawan) for 10 years, I usually find good , horny reasonably hung twink boys there. Often take 2 as they are usually fun boys and seem comfortable together. I've never been charged 300bt for the mezzanine as long as I buy the boy a drink. Maybe they ask that charge for 1st timers., but a 100baht tip to Mammasan probably would work. Top floor basic but clean. Never really had a dud there. I was at Hot Male last week and one guy caught my eye. Had him sit with me, I liked what I saw --- and felt --- and decided to off him. But ... he had to do to a show at 10:30 and asked if I could wait. I didn't want to wait another hour (more like 90 minutes from the time he mentioned this), so I told him; "Maybe next time." One reason, I'm guessing, that he didn't go was that on this night the number of ways was much fewer than normal. I suppose many of the crew took extra days off for New Year's or went home.
