CONDOMS - non-latex variety?

-- From my times working in hospitals I know that there are non-latex surgical gloves for those who are allergic to latex.
- Does anyone know if there are non-latex Condoms available?

Yes, Lifestyles makes a variety called Skyn Premium, and Durex one called Avanti Bare. Several other companies do, too.

Not available in Thailand, though.

There are also "lambskin"--but expensive. I have some. They are supposed to feel like you don't have any condom on. I sort of agree.

The lambskin ones are not supposed to be safe, from an HIV-prevention point of view.

I don't understand that. They sure seem EXTREMELY tough and durable, and they SEEM waterproof (blood will not penetrate). If they're water-proof, I see that as being HIV-safe. I've only tried them a few times (when I'm the top).

Important Warning! - Lambskin condoms have been found not to be effective in preventing HIV or STD transmission and therefore should not be used for that purpose.

Condoms - HIV Prevention - Condoms to Prevent HIV

Lambskin condoms are porous -- very finely porous, but porous nonetheless. The pores are small enough to prevent sperm from passing, but the HIV and other STD viruses are much smaller and can pass through.
