I'd say it's very unlikely that the pharmacist will want to see a prescription. I never bought Viagra or Cialis or the likes, but I know many people who did and I also know some pharmacists. None of them ever mentioned the need for a prescription for anything. Except for narcotics of course, that can usually only be sold at a hospital pharmacy anyway.

Aren't Viagra, Cialis, Kumagra, etc. all the same (same active ingredient)? My big problem with Kumagra is upset stomach, and also hip (joint) / lower back pains. It works quickly, and I only take 1/4 or 1/3 of a pill, but I constantly feel like I have to burp up the liquids in my stomach.

There is quite a significant differance in performance bewteen Viagra and Cialis. The old joke about taking V and walking around for hours with a massive hard on is probably a good analagy for how Viagra works.
With C you dont get that feeling at all, until you start foreplay, and then the response is both rapid and effective. The advantage of the 5 mg daily pill is that you are permanently "primed" and no pre-planning is required. If you take the 10 mg "on demand" pill its active in about 15 mins c/f at least an hour for V.

I've gotta agree with Icon regarding avoiding the street vendors. I wouldn't buy anything from those slim ball mafiosos just like I wouldn't let the guy next to them take me to a massage parlor in his tuk tuk.
If you think buying the real thing is expensive, imagine what kidney or liver failure would cost after gobbling down a bad batch of some of those Chinese imports.... There are some mom & pop shops in that area that are probably more trustworthy to buy from. My drug of choice is the Kamagra jelly packets. But after reading above, I might give some of the Cialis a shot, as the Kamagra gives similar side effects of Viagra. You can find better shops in some of the malls (TOPS, Carre Four, etc) that probably carry the real stuff. For me, I think it's worth the price to get something reliable.

India is a big exporter of generic pharmaceuticals to Thailand through regular, established channels such as the GPO. However, there is a big mark up by the time it reaches the customer. What is to be borne in mind, and rightly as Cupidman says, is to ensure that you do not use spurious stuff. The Indian equivalents of Viagra and other medicines sold here with Indian labels are illegal stuff. There is no guarantee that they are genuine stuff and that they have been manufactured in clean factories. Just because you buy it in a pharmacy here is no guarantee of quality. And yes, there is hell of a lot of spurious stuff in India too !
Regarding Sextile's comment about the "proof of the pudding..." it is well known that even dummy tablets work - the placebo effect !!

Kamagra and Penegra are made by legitimate, established Indian manufacturers.
There is no risk in taking them. It's the stuff packaged to look like genuine Viagra, Cialis, etc, that is risky. You have no way of knowing what it contains or under what conditions it was manufactured. Posted via Mobile Device

I have not done too much research in this but for genuine stuff, legally imported, the FDA puts in it's seal.
There are genuine, established Indian manufacturers. But you cannot be sure of the authenticity of the stuff you buy, when you buy them in the grey market. If someone wants to buy "puddings" from a China town roadside shop.... or illegal medicines in a lower Sukhumvit shop... each one to his own

There are other genuine products other than those with Thai FDA seal. There is big business in grey market, genuine meds from other countries as well.
I suppose there could be counterfeit Kamagra and Penegra out there, in addition to counterfeit Viagra. Best to establish a relationship with a trusted pharmacist. Card tables on the sidewalk are definitely AYOR. Posted via Mobile Device

-- Today, 13th., forenoon I spoke with the American who prefers to buy his medications from the lady in C'Town.. - He told me that he's been buying from her for the last three years and is perfectly satisfied with what he buys. - I enquired about any possible damage to his internal organs, (liver and/or kidneys.), and about the placebo effect? He replied that he's unaware of any internal problems and added - a bit shortly - that he's perfectly satis'd. with what he buys. -- Query: Would a placebo effect be efficacious for as long as three yrs.?

We're happy that your friend is happy.
But the fact that it gets him hard does not mean a) that the active ingredient in his pills is the same as in Cialis -- who knows what it is. It could be sildenafil citrate (the active ingredient in Viagra) or some other unknown, untested, and unregulated chemical; b) that there are no long-term implications of using whatever ingredients are in what he is buying; c) that one day he won't get a bad batch. There is no quality control whatsoever in counterfeit meds. Best of luck to your friend.
