After the "expose" in the Bangkok Post Sunday morning I did look out to see if we were going to be in for a couple of days of restraint - but if anything it was the opposite. Never seen quite so many dildos on show either. Probably had a boost in trade. You just have to look down the side streets to see the places where they keep the actual DVDs to show to customers.

I was at Pantip a few (?) years ago when they were putting the sofas out the front for the police to sit in whilst announcing their crack down on pirated DVDs there. Probably had a 2 hour impact.

Just waiting for a newspaper to have a photographer stand on the steps of Lumpini Police station and take a photo of all the prostitutes lined up along the park railings on the other side of the road and then hear what the spokesman for the police says about that.

Actually, I think the Post just threw out that Child Porn title to be sensational. I walk by that stand every day and several others on Suk. and there's no child porno--it's the usual porno, Farang, Asian, gay and straight. Same stuff that's on Silom and the beach at Jomtiem. Ripped DVD of varying quality. The Japanese stuff has pixilated genitals.

No mention of the double line of ladies and ladyboys working on Suk between soi 7 and 3.
