I had a short but enjoyable trip recently that included a couple of evenings at Dream Boys in Bangkok. Offed two different guys, they were both affectionate and certainly were extremely attractive.

As for BobJames' experience, while it is hard to generalise across the many boys of Soi Twilight, what he experienced is far from untypical. In my view, it is necessary to communicate in advance, in the bar itself, what one's expectations are and ascertain if the boy is game for it. Some boys are top, some will bottom (you'd be surprised which ones will bottom*), some will suck - and under what conditions.

* There are a few boys who will never admit to being bottomable while inside the bar, but in the room, on solemn oath (bring out the Bible) that you will never breathe a word to his mamasan or other bar boys, he may agree.

Am not sure if it is caused by the non existent high season, I noticed that most of the boys I've offed have stopped bringing their own condom. I think it cost them 50baht from the bar. I have to ask the boy to buy condom in a nearby 7-11. I did not try to have unprotected sex, though I wonder what will happen if thw customer was game? Will the ym give in to the pressure of not bringing their own rubber?

I've had the diappointments too, and I don't see 'diappointments' as a new phenominum, they were par for the course 30 years ago.

A long time back I made my own policy to talk in detail with the young man before offing. I'm specific as to what I want and I ask for a specific answer as to what he will agree to do.

I never discuss this with captains or mamasans, only with the working boy and I find that politeness and whispers seem to help, and I make sure this discussion starts within perhaps 10 minutes of the man sitting down, so that he and I can get on with life quickly. If the answer is vague then I politely change the construction of the question until I get a clear answer.

If he indicates that the only thing he will do is give me a handjob then he has no chance whatever of getting my business.

I totaly respect his right to say he will only suck if there is a condom in use, but I will not off in this scenario. I expect the man to insist on a condom if penetration is part of the agreement.

If needed I politely tell the young man that I'm looking for something different and thank him for his time, and probably give him 100Baht tip.

When this happens I also ask for the bill and leave. That's my way of extracting myself from this situation, but of course others will want to stay and perhaps ask another working man to chat, each to their own.

Even in the days when bars provided condoms (and yes, I suspected they charged the boys for them) I've never wanted to use the bars' condoms. And I'll tell you why. There was one occasion when I looked at the expiry date on the condoms provided by the bar (and asked the boy to read for himself). It was an expired condom.

Like Sextile, I don't see lube in sachets on sale in most places, but I wouldn't buy them anyway. Opening the first sachet is not a problem but when you've already got lube on your hands and need to open a second for boosting the lubrication, it's well-nigh impossible.

I too have a bottle of Durex Play handy.

Typically, if I'm planning to off a boy back to my hotel, there's no need to have these supplies on me, even though I too like wearing pants with commodious side pockets, which can well accommodate a bottle and several condoms. I leave the provisions in the room.

If I'm going to a massage parlour, some condoms(for oral) in my pocket will be enough. I won't need lube because with massage oil around, I'm not going to do any penetration anyway. But if I had to bring lube with me, it would be the easiest thing to drop into my backpack.

There's no good reason to be unprepared. And I don't feel the cost of condoms should be borne by the boy having to make his own purchases from a 7-11 if the bar does not supply.

I have a collection of lube packets from Babylon. I also carry small tubes of hand cream or whatever.

Anyway, has anyone had the experience of money boys who put their tongue on your body ever so slightly (pretending to be sexual) and then have a compelling need to spit out in a towel or whatever? I'm very clean, and have gone out, and connected with money boys within 1 or 2 hours of taking a long, diligent shower. I ask them if they kiss. They say yes. Then, they do not kiss (and do almost nothing else except fake shit) and if if I really insist on some more intimacy, they might sort of stick their tongue out and pretend to kiss my upper body or whatever. By the way, I consistently noticed some obviously under-age kids in one area. What was amazing was how many Thai drive around picking up the guys in that whole area. And the hustlers do get snapped up very quickly.

Not a small number of the street trade are boys who got kicked out of their bars for drug or health reasons.
