Anacondas ... ?

-- Accoriding to my Hamelyn Encyclopedic World Dictionary -1979 reprint, ISBN.: 0 600 00007 9 - 'ANACONDA, (Eunectes murinus.), is a large S. American snake of the boa family.'. [orig. unknown. - t Singahalese?].

- A good many of my Thai & YM. acquaintances use Anaconda in a phallic sense.
- Recently I came-across Anaconda used in the same sense in another & gay-oriented web-site, (sorry, can't remember wch. one.

)
- Lying abed today, 15 april, forenoon I started to wonder how & why a S. American & constrictor snake should have a Thai & phallic sense? Anyone have any ideas?

Because it's big, thick, and long.

It's not just a Thai coinage: I've seen it used often in U.S. porn writing.

in the last years, since google-translate made its victory-march forward, it explains a lot of those seemingly strange translations. The quite common Thai word for it is snake (NGU)-obviously, and this is probably just the first hit in a program-or maybe even an old-style dictionary. or maybe they even looked a mm further-for the biggest and longest!
Maybe ask them which type of snake they would like most?

People know "Anaconda" from the movie of the same name. That's why it is so common.

-- From a cursory check of search-engine Google I read that Anacondas can grow upto 30.ft. long & weigh as much as 500.lbs..

there are many different varieties of banana in the philippines. but i think you meant the senyorita variety - a small and sweet delight.

despite it being exported widely by philippines, i haven't had the experience of seeing one that matches the size of the dole branded bananas

U.S. images notwithstanding, the owner of the largest male organ I ever spent time in bed with was a Thai media buyer in Bangkok whose face reminded me of a female movie star (I forget which one).

Icon513 may be right about how Thais learned of the anaconda, but in the U.S. it's a pretty well-known word, thanks to pop-culture references and domestic corporate and geographical usages, perhaps not to mention the proximity of South America. Its use in U.S. porn long precedes the "Anaconda" film series.

Possibly Britons have less familiarity with the anaconda or its concept? :-)

By the way, I've never heard the term "fuck like a rattler" and find only four duplicative Google references to it. I also don't get the comparison.

2.1. - Reticulated python, Python reticulatus, largest in captivity measured 28' 06". & 320.lbs.;
2.2. - Green anaconda, Eunectes munnus, largest measured 20ft. & 480.lbs.;
2.3. - Largest & N. American snake - Eastern Indigo snake, Drymarchon corais couperi, measured at 10.ft..
