A local friend told me that there's a new trend popping up of internet cafes operating as a front for gay sex, especially in areas around universities (specifically Ramkhamhaeng) where there are a lot of horny but impecunious young guys around.

According to him, they are internet cafes -- the kind where you can surf the web for 10 baht or whatever -- except that they have little individual cabins that offer some modicum of privacy -- and they are used for cruising and sex.

Has anyone heard of this?

Somehow I'm not too quick to believe that numerous / several such places exist close to Ramkamhaeng uni.

There have been several massage parlors start up over many years in close proximity to the massive Ram campus, mostly believing that there would be many local Ram uni boys willing to work in massage.

They all folded fairly quickly.

Hello all, just back in town-this makes me surely head for RKH soon. In some sois are rows+rows of webshops-many also offer all-nite rates, lik 50/60 bt, most are 10 bt/hr. Decent and cheap food too-khao khaeng for 20/25 bt.
Have never seen like that-but I Indonesia its pretty common.
