The bigger, more expensive hotels seem to have no security in the lobbies or by the lifts to check for visitors. Of course, the security cameras will pick everyone up, but I am in Singapore now and have had no problem. Not sure about the smaller hotels, but I am sure you'll be fine.

If you arrive back with your visitor then no problems. If you phone for escort or find someone via internet then most of the large hotels have key card access on the lifts so you have to come down to collect your visitor but otherwise no problem. The yellow pages etc have tons of adverts for female escorts so it is all expected. If you stay at the Swissotel then ask for a lower floor as no key card access. If you are embarrased about meeting visitor in the lobby then at Swissotel/ Fairmont you can meet them in the shopping centre and take them back to your room via 2/3 floors - also some cruisers in this shopping centre. The usual gayromeo, gaydar websites are good for finding hook ups.

Of course, discretion is required. It has never been an issue as long as you're not necking or sucking face in the hotel lobby before going up to your room. Just act straight and everything will be fine. Unless suggested otherwise, hotels would assume that its just 2 male friends catching. What you do in bed in your own hotel room is your business. And noone else. Hotels probably would keep a closer watch if hotel guests were bringing ladies into their hotel. Of course since most hotels require keycard access to the lifts as well as to the hotel rooms, you would have to know the people/guy you're taking back to your room so hotels are not too fussed if you have someone with you as its assumed that you know the person. So does I get to suck anyone off in his hotel room for giving that information? :-)

I've been to Singapore probably 6 times a year for the last 25 years and never had the slightest problem in any hotel, large or small. Just act like you own the place and it's no one else's business. Its helped by the fact most Singaporeans dress very well so even the "street kids" are trendy and not scruffy looking
