I'd post this in the Singapore forum if I thought anyone read it (or would respond).
How about a run-down on the current hotspots there? I may be visiting on business in the next few weeks and thought I'd try out the growing sauna scene. Any recommendations? |

sg is quite happening these days i think esp compared to our own wonderful LOS
u should check out one seven clean and decent sauna with lots of hot boys looking for action gets better once the bars close after 3am on weekends - when they are mostly high on drugs and looking for a quick fuck orgy whatever there is a big outdoor jacuzzi type pool thats gets pretty active - suana i think is open till 7am and u can get a weekend pass valid fri to sunday for a cheaper rate - sorry forget the location or the entrance fees but it is not that $$ bars /clubs try why not and taboo both pretty happening with lots of cute muscle boys california gym has 2 pretty good cruisy locations orchard and raffles place with the raffles one being more happening for sex AYOR - suanas and steam at both locales fort road and ann sang hill for late night outdoor cruising as always fort road is good with under the flyover hot action througout the night lots of boys plying the park and the pitch black space under the said flyover - bit scary but being singapore it is extremely unlikey you will encounter anyone who is gonna rip u off or wanna charge u,which is more than can be said for some of the outdoor places in BKK. Njoy and we expect a blow by blow account on yr return for addresses etc suggest u try fridae.com |

I was in transit in Singaore and managed to get out the airport to visit Rairua sauna in June this year. I cannot say I will be rushing back. The sauna was small but nice and clean, had private rooms and a large dark room. But the 15-20 guys on that day were lack of enthusiasm. I got into a private cabin with two Sings (one at a time!) and did not really enjoy their companionships. Sings whom I met at Babylon in BKK were much much more friendly. Perhaps, that was just not my lucky day. Because membership of Rairua was free, I decided to try this sauna instead of One Seven sauna that charged S$ 10.00 for a lifetime membership plus entrance fee. I have heard that One Seven sauna has been more active. Perhaps, it may be worth paying that membership fee.
Out of the topic but still in Singapore, if you buy a bottle of water from a mobile trade stand on Orchard road, be sure you check your change before leaving the stand. Having believed that Singapore was a richer country than Thailand and the people had been known for their honesty, I did not check and only found later that I was given a change in a different Asian currency. I suppose we all can be ripped off or cheated anywhere in the world, because in any country whether rich or poor, developed or developing there are always good and bad people.....Good luck and enjoy. |

Thai Guy:
I also visit Rairua and Stroke earlier this year. I had fun in the cubicles and darkrooms but the saunas are nothing like the ones in Bangkok. They are small and not too active. One-Seven was raided by undercover police (yes they put on towels, my gosh)not too long ago and two guys were arrested for, surprise surprise, having sex in a cubicle in the sauna. I won't be rushing back soon....HK, Taipei, Manila saunas MUCH better for fun (pending Bangkok's current silliness). I also thought I was ripped off when a Sing taxi driver gave me change in another country's currency, but my Sing friend that I met there told me that the Brunei (a little rich Sultanate nation in Borneo)Dollar is virtually 1 to 1 to the Sing Dollar and the locals treat it like their own money. I confirmed this with a bank..... so check and see if you got Brunei Dollars. If so, you were not ripped off...and u might owe someone an apology... |

Recently found that Stroke was dirty, unsafe with too many dark steps and little action. One seven was active and rairua was very friendly with tea, coffee and $1 noodles on a sunday night. Still, there is something missing in Singapore- the adrenalin that the chaos of Bangkok brings.

trajan, thanks for your explanation.
Gay saunas in Manila . Please feel like shaging...oop sorry...sharing this with us. I find it strange that the Police raided only the One Seven sauna but not the others. Regarding the change, I am sure it was not Brunei dollar because I cannot find it in my currency collection. I have travelled all over and like collecting a few notes and coins from all countries. In fact, if it had been Brunei dollars, I should have given him a big thank you for help me collecting Brunei dollar without going to Brunei where I have no plan at all to visit. Perhaps, I was given Malaysian dollars I don't know. Anyway, it's just a little thing in life and did not really matter to me that much. Having travelled all over as a tourist, I have been cheated a little (never had a big one…yet) in several countries until now I feel it becomes a little part of life adding some spices to my heart and soul. But some people like to go on and on about cheating/ripping-off even for a sake of a few Bahts ! |

Hi Thai Guy:
The sauna I tried in Manila last month was called "Club Bath". Very nice and active! However, u only get a locker unless u pay for a private cubicle. When I went, they ran out of cubicles, but it was no problem because I was invited to a few by some hunky guys One really cute muscular guy gave me a tour of Manila the next day! Club Bath is in the Roxas Ave area near Heritage Hotel. I don't have an exact address but its on the web. I've traveled so much lately that I have accidentally mixed up notes and coins from other countries when shopping...it would be nice to have a common money (like the Euro) so we don't have to bother, and lose so much when constantly changing back and forth at airports |

RE Club Bath,
They definitely knew I was not Filipino because I had to get a membership and show my passport. Other guys in line who were Filipino also had to get memberships and show IDs, so everyone was treated the same. |

Gosh! That place in Manila is still open! WOW!!! I was there in 1982! It had a pretty big swimming pool and lots of maizes. In one of the many cubicles with the semi-open door there was a demi-god (slim, smooth skinned, silky black haired, 24some yo guy) who feigned to be asleep. I entered, close the door and woke him up with a good BJ.
All the rest is history.... AH! At that time (yes, sorry for the memories...) there was a very nice disco club called the Coco Banana in the corner where the Manila Midtown Hotel was located. Now it should be the Ramada Hotel and the club is vanished. Pity, really, since I rarely felt so at home and at the same time in full swing, being in a crowded gay place. I made a big mistake then, however (too young...) in talking to a local Chinese/Phil guy thinking he was Japanese... Obviously I was instantly rejected! But I did find immediately a good substitute and, INCREDIBLE for Manila even at that time, no money involved and no robbery suffered. Now, I found Manila a bit more frenzied and paranoid when I visited last year. May be the ERAP story was getting too much into the nerves of the people, but... too much pretensions/attitudes and too little down to earth fun. This is for the record. "Ceterum censo Silomguy revertere posset" CYA! |

Thanks for all the advice. I did finally make it to Singapore recently and had a good time checking out the hotspots.
Actually, I almost turned around and headed straight back to Bangkok after I tried the first sauna: Stroke. What a dump! I'm glad I perservered and went on to Rairua and One-Seven, which were much, much better. Especially One-Seven, which was active, well laid-out and well-decorated. In the end, I have only one main gripe about the saunas in Singapore: their lack of ethnic diversity! Why is it that there are so many yummy Malay and Indian guys on the streets, but none in the saunas? They seem to be the exclusive domain of Chinese guys (and a handful of Westerners). I know the Malays and Indians are just as horny as everyone else, because I saw them lurking in shopping mall toilets and other cruising spaces. I wonder why they don't visit the saunas? |
