There have been many long and sometimes contentious discussions about whether there is really such a thing as being bi (versus being gay and unwilling to admit it) and if there is where do you draw the line. It certainly isn't a demarc between gay, bi, or anything else; nor is it a delineation between top and bottom. Many "tops" rim to get their partner more relaxed and receptive for penetration. Bottoms rim because it is pleasing.

If anything, the hypothetical "line" between bi and gay has more to do with the desire and emotional satisfaction a man derives from a partner of the opposite sex. "Genuine" bisexuals are more or less equally stimulated and satisfied with either gender; gay men have far greater satisfaction with male partners.
