I stayed at CCBC a couple years ago and had a good time. Then went back for the afternoon/evening last summer. Yes, the place was very tired and run down. There are several water features along "The Walk" .... seemed like the water hadn't been changed in ages and had a smell to it. In general the entire resort was just dirty and not kept up.
The crowd was older (retirement years) that visit .... I am comfortable being naked but didn't slip out of my trunks on that visit, though many others were naked (just picture that in your head. lol). Actually didn't see any sex going on anywhere during my time there. My friend, Barry, likes ALL WORLDS. I have since stayed at VISTA GRANDE/MIRAGE/ATRUIM/AVALON (Warm Sands area) ...much better kept than CCBC. Did see sex and also had "some fun" while I was there. You might want to do a day pass before committing on getting a room at CCBC. Though they do have some "Mr. Nude Contests" which might attract a better crowd due to the event. I do believe they have a "Calandar of Events" on their web site, their site an easy Google search. A friend and I did stay at the HYATT for a wedding and he ventured to CCBC on a Friday evening. He stayed 10 minutes as it was "The Fist Fuckers Weekend", rooms set up with slings & Crisco with the crowd pretty narly.       |

THE DESERT PALMS HOTEL as well as THE VILLAS (then BARICKS BAR along with SWIDWINDERS BAR) are about 1.1 miles from CCBC. DESERT PALM nor THE VILLAS are not clothing-optional as they have liquior licenses (both serve food too).
Then the majority of other gay resorts are in the Warm Sands area of Palm Springs. |

I agree with cubmaster about the comments on CCBC. I used to love it there but now it seems tired or dated. They used to have a good range of guys that went there (some older, some younger, different races) but now it seems to cater to the Prime Timers.
All Worlds and Atrium/Mirage/Vista Grande (love the steamroom there) are great for lots of eye candy and sometimes some attitude, but I usually get lucky whenever I go. Camp Palm Springs is nice, but if it isn't busy, you see the same people over and over again.

I tell you guys, I go to CCBC rarely, but every time I do, there are at least 5 hot guys -- and by hot guys, I keep an open mind, but definitely there are always some 20 and 30 something's wandering around. Cute, definitely. And some hunky hairy hot daddies, too. Totally. Nasty hot sweaty sex usually happens in the 3 little shacks towards the back of the property, the "sauna", the pitch black "video room" and the "dungeon".
I suggest yes, trying just a day pass (available anytime of day, good for 12 consecutive hours) and making sure you're there on a Thurs Fri Sat or Sun night from say, midnight til 4 am. You're sure to have some fun, and see some hot guys. **** UNLESS of course, it's that nasty Fister's weekend. My ex was practically the ringleader of that group in San Diego (RHSD) and he was the youngest and cutest of them all... and still looked like a reject from the cross-bred hillbillies with bow-legs and buck teeth. Try the CCBC well I am there. It seems better in the warm months than the cold. I was there recently and there was action but it was cold, seemed dirty in the indoor sex areas.
I am going to go back and get a nice room when it warms up, sun bath all day in a hot bikini, and if I meet a nice guy I have the room. In the evening I hope to make love outside so I wont worry how clean the other "places" are. I am not against trying the other places but am a little shy about wearing my bikini in a semi-public place. Maybe I will. |
