Are Tan Lines Sexy?

I finally have a local place I can lay out nude for a tan if I want to. but do I want to? Are tan lines sexy or would you rather see a guy with a good all over tan?

I love guys with Speedo swimsuit tanlines.

Thong tanlines look stupid. Might as well have an all over tan.

Since many guys are wearing squarecut suits, I've been seeing more tanlines down the thighs. This can be nice, but there is something extra special about Speedo tanlines because they dive around the thigh so close to the cock, balls and ass.

I can't wait for the Summer Olympics. I hope the prudish network bosses don't force the cameramen to avoid the divers and swimmers' bulge shots. I love imagining how these guys would look with their suits off.

Tan lines do nothing for me. Since we are simply gathering opinions here, my own personal tastes shouldn't insult anyone out there.

I can't say I am bothered by tan lines, but I like dudes who just wear standard swim trunks. Speedos and the like turn me off, no matter how perfect the body happens to be. I find them pretentious -- but then again, I find just about everything pretentious, so don't think too much about that!

I DO like the flushed, red look a guy will have after an initial day out in the sun, though I'm quite aware that being tan and getting burned are serious "no-nos."

I guess I'm also still stuck with the antiquated notion that a "healthy tan" looks good. On some men, it does, even though we're yelled at and nagged daily NOT to lay in the sun. However, some dudes seriously overdo it. Not only is it unhealthy, it starts to look REALLY bad -- and so does the resulting dry skin and wrinkles a few years later.

Call me a hypocrite, though: I do get tan every year, though here in Florida I can do this just about anytime except three or four of the winter months. I do not, however, go nuts with it. Being Italian, I need only two or three afternoons at the beach to get tan enough to last all summer long. And I do use sunscreen, though it drips off in the blazing heat pretty fast.

I had a buddy in high school who used to tan EVERY day, albeit up north. Still, he looked Jamaican by the end of the summer. It was not natural on him and very unattractive.

But what do I know? It's still just an opinion, take it for what it is worth.

Two notes on this, though:

If you DO lay out naked, I don't need to tell you to seriously slather that sunscreen on your dick, do I? Of course not...

Whatever my feelings on tan lines, there IS one thing I simply cannot stand -- or understand. Why do guys list "tan" as an attribute to be admired in their online profiles? What is this, some kind of accomplishment we are supposed to recognize? What is so special about being able to be a lazy fucker and lay out in the sun? Or a tanning bed? Cut it out, guys. It's just plain stupid. How about listing a few of your OTHER attributes instead?

I HATE helping a guy out of his shorts/pants and finding that everything underneath hasn't seen ANY light in years... Super-white outline from his waist to mid-thigh is a turn off for me. I mean, you can go to the tanner and get a little color all over.

Just my opinion.

I think tan lines are incredibly sexy. Not a Speedo tan line but a farmers tan line. For anyone that doesn't know a farmers tan is when a guy is tanned only on his arms and head. Guys that w ork outside and wear jeans and a t-shirt everyday have a farmers tan.

An all over tan is very unappealing . It ranks right up there with guys that change thier hair color and guys that dip themselves in cologne. It screams queen.

- not one particular way or another. For me actually, a farmer's tan here GWT LOL. I used to tan so much when I was in high school - you could barely keep me in a pair of shorts. But after I saw what the sun can do to ya, changed my mind on tanning.

I actually used to suntan some when I was in the military up a a nudist beach in San Luis Obispo. Never used suntan lotion, but my crotch area never did burn. My butt did though. Now, try explaining that to your CO. Luckily my job did not rquire me to sit much

During my school days, guys who play outdoor sports will have tan lines. If one guy at the showers suddenly showed no tan lines, he'll be called a sissy.

Tan lines are sexy because thats the area on your body not to many people get to see.I love`em.

I find too pronounced tan lines somewhat of a turn off. The speedo look doesn't do it for me at all. Nor does the all over tan. It gives me the impression that someone has too much spare time on their hands.

(Not that there's anything wrong with that . . .)

Of course raw sex is raw sex & not a relationship, but nonetheless, I find that some things, such as certain kinds of tan likes, or cologne, say something about a person's lifestyle, & that works it's way into my psyche & or libido, & my attraction to the guy in question diminishes. This often happens even if the guy in question fulfills a high percentage of the usual things that trip my trigger.

There is also the obvious unhealthyness of it all, (melanoma is no joke), being in the same realm as tobacco or excessive alchohol use. (Being a tobacco user myself, I can always understand that it could be a real turn off). Maybe it registers as a sign of mental deficiency, & in a weird Darwinian way cancels the guy out as a healthy prospective mate.

"Normal" summer tan lines & working tan lines: legs, arms, neck, shoulders, can get me going. A tanned torso can be really hot. A farmers tan also does it. Maybe I'm just drawn to a working class kind of guy.

I work outside, & in the summer, despite sun block, sport a tan from mid thigh down, & (though sometimes reduced by the weather to taking off my shirt), normally an "A" shirt tan on my torso. Though I don't work intentionally on this look, I find that on a regular basis, some guys really like it. At least enough to comment on it. Having spent most of my adult life in New York City, avoiding the sun as much as possible, having a personal tan is a pretty new experience for me.

Maybe it's a class thing. Maybe it's a lifestyle thing. But it does work itself into what is physical desire for me. A very mysterious thing. The kind of tan a man has says something to me about what kind of person he is. Even though I may be only looking for raw sex, & not a relationship, it still affects how I am attracted to him.

All that being said, I have had some quite successfully enjoyable sexual encounters where speedo tan lines, or no tan lines at all were involved. But never with a thong line.
