Will be making first visit to Chaing Mai next week.It has been a while since this area has been covered here and I would like to know the current opinions on night time diversions - I don't mean the night safari type.Sauna info would be appreciated.

Any day time tourist activities that are especially appealing would be welcome also.Oh yes I will be taking a travel guide.

I can't give you any late breaking news, but I was there in mid January and the bar scene was pathetic. The usual best place (in my opinion) is Adam's Apple but it was closed once again for an extended period. Not sure if it's open again, has been shut down by the cops again, or what the status is. My Way had shows but no go-go. Circle Pub had there usual late show (why must all these C'mai bars start late and close early?) which once again bored me. The Fan Club was truly bizarre: about 10 boys that looked like goth-rock vampire wannabees. Dancing shirtless but all wearing jeans. Over at Doi Boy nobody was dancing and the boys looked listless. I passed through the outdoor bars near the Climbing Wall one night and there wasn't much happening there either. Maybe it was a slow/bad week, but the lack of anything interesting has kept me - and will keep me - from going back to C'mai for a long time. I enjoyed the many wonderful restaurants in town, though!

Adam's Apple is wide open...I went Tuesday and last night and saw some creative, rural f... shows and the parade of groups of 3-4 guys with immense erections dangling 6 inches from your glass. Another place i have never been to before is HIS Massage on the same road as Sparoma Sauna...it's quite hard to find...even when you are standing outside. (www.hisclub-cm.com). It tries to be upmarket but is hampered by the location. But has some very fine street-type Chiang Mai boys and good facilities. I had a guy (name by PM if anyone needs) recommended to me(who i would have picked anyway) and he was great...a fair massage but a cool, lumbering dick that carresses your anus while he massages your shoulders and keeps on getting bigger and warmer. He just loved to be screwed and his dick remained rigid throughout which is fairly unusual in my experience. Most of the other boys looked fine also and the owner was very helpful and generaly a very user-friendly place(once you can find it).

Also I tried Classic massage for the first time...A little more up market and most of the guys were slightly on the effeminate side but good at massage. Good surroundings and staff.

A newer place(2 months old) is D-Deez massage...very rural and few boys but one or two cute ones and some ex-Phuket, as is the owner, Noi. Didn't get a massage there as most of the boys were roaming somewhere...but could soon be good as they try hard.

Didn't go to House of Male, but did visit Sparoma...which was great and had some very fine, slim and attractive Thai boys...in fact all were Thai. The massage boys didn't excite me greatly...didn't seem hungry enough...But the facilities are shit hot and so good on the river in the evenings around the pool.

Drove past Soho Bar opposite Orchid Hotel and saw well stocked with guys...didn't have time to explore...I got besotted by a college student at the zoo who wanted to show me around and seemed so cool and straight. Yannawa, you have just put Chiangmai back on my list of places to visit when I get too bored with Bangkok. Been there a few times but I do find the mentioned places difficult to go to especially when you don't drive there. Telling the tut tut driver where to go is another problem. If you stay in Montri Hotel next to Tapae gate for Bht650-750/night, they have the What's On In Chiang Mai magazine free in the rooms and each place I have mentioned has a map/location guide in Thai suitable for tuk-tuk drivers. There is now a formal aircon mini-bus route now...I did not try but saw route 4 bus stop at the airport and at Montri Hotel. Also they have Taxi-Meter cabs at the airport...but did not check if same price as Bangkok or not.....not many roaming the streets. I usualy take a Budget car from the airport...take a new pickup for Bht1,200/day or Honda Jazz for Bht1,500/day. It's worth it to be able to explore all the fringe area places. The concentrated bar area around Peak is really not a delightful spot. About 1 cute boy in each bar outnumbered by customers 10 to 1...maybe better at times but just not a patch of the time you can have at Adams or Free Guy or Circle or Hero or the fitness park on the way to the zoo. You can also rent a bicycle cheaply and cover all the spots easily and very cheaply...make sure you get one with a cross bar to take your boy home.

I did not note any hill tribe boys at Adam's, but I am not sure what they would look like naked. Maybe I am just lucky that i like the Adam's type of boy...not muscle, not femine, not pasty...just wholesome fun guys with slim bodies, tanned skin and large dicks and the cutest street-boy faces. When ever you off a boy from there, you know you are not going to be embarrased to take him anywhere due to tight tank tops, spiky hair and rings and dog-colar belts with bum cracks showing. Sparoma Chiang Mai.Now this is one of the most attractive saunas for ambience and location anywhere.Fairly new on Padat Rd,by the river, it had a good variety of guys on the Monday I went.Not all are keen on farang but some were welcoming.Facilities for gym and swimming excellent.Take swim gear along and enjoy the lengthy outdoor pool and dry off in a hammock by the river.A farang informed me the oil massage is excellent and the massage room is very inviting.(No hand job etc.)
