From another website:
Vincent's Opening Hours:Sun-Thu 7pm-1am; Fri-Sat 7pm-2am Vincent's, Singapore's longest-running gay bar, has been on the go since 1989 and continues with its original policy of "no frills, no gimmicks, no attitudes", regardless of growning competition on a flourishing gay scene. Now something of an institution, the bar has recently moved from its home in Lucky Plaza and re-opened in the Tanjong Pagar area of town. The doors are always open to a mixed, international crowd, but discretion is always encouraged. Address: 15 Duxton Rd , Tanjong Pagar

Thanks but since I posted this question, I continued my research and stumble on a web sit of Vincent himself, the owner of Vincent's Lounge.
I wrote to him and asked to confirm if his bar was closed or not and also asked that if he was closed can he recommend similar bars in Singapore where mature Caucasians would go. Here is answer to my email: Thank you for your kind words and for remembering Vincent's Lounge. Yes, I was the owner of Vincent's Lounge. And yes, the bar is history. With the 'blooming' of the gay scene, as well as the access of the internet, business took a tumble to a stage where it is not viable to keep the bar going anymore. At the moment there are only 2 gay bars - Backstage and Tantric, both by the same owner. They are within walking distance of each other in Chinatown. Backstage is known to cater to the more mature crowd, whereas Tantric has got a club setting and is more popular with the young and young at heart. Backstage (upstairs) 13A Trengganu Street Singapore 058467 Tel. 6227 1712 Tantric Bar 78 Neil Road Tel. 6423 9232

Its popular to start the evening at Backstage and wander around to Tantric about midnite. You see a lot of the same guys at both but Tantric definitely a younger crowd after midnite and clubby feel. I enjoy both.
(I also admit to missing the daring underground feeling of the early days of Vincents when being gay in Singapore was really like being in a secret society, with Vincents as the only place where you got to see who some of the other members were.)

Orson is quite correct re the variety of gay venues now in Sing. However, looking at the profile of the original post (mature age GWM) I think Backstage and Tantric are his best bet. Some of the new ones like Why Not and Tantric are very sticky, full of young muscle Mary's with even more attitude than muscle, and chicks who think its cool to go to gay venues with their friends who think its cool to pretend to be gay while strutting the dance floor to tecno crap music that kills any possibility of actual conversation. Call me old fashioned, but I just like venues where the guys there are 100% gay and 100% looking to get off that night.
I'm 50 something & can hook up every time in Backstage /Tantric, but usually come away half deaf & empty handed from the others!

Thank you very much everyone, but special thanks to biggles69
for a most valuable information. I can now walk in one of those bars with confidence that I will not stick out like a sore thumb. I wonder if some of you posters and readers have similar information about Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam? I have been on all the gay city guide I could find on the net; however, I find most of them outdated and not objective.
