Pattaya recommendations

There is a wealth of information on this board on Bangkok venus, but much less is available about places in Pattaya.

Which massage places are the most highly recommended?
Which go-go bars have the best service and selection of boys?
Which host bars are noteworthy or recommended?

Are there places to avoid?

Thank you so much for any input from the well-traveled and experienced!

I'll attempt to answer some of these questions, although I usually only go to Pattaya 6 or 7 times a year....when I need to breathe something other than BKK air.

I've tried several massage places. The one I'd recommend in Narcissus which is between Beach Road and Second Road. Get there early because there are lots of customers. Tell the Mamasan EXACTLY what you're looking for when you get there. I've found the Mamasan generally to be spot on.

Boys, Boys, Boys usually has the largest selection of boys. You can find just about anything in there.

I'd avoid the large bars in Sunee Plaza, if I were you. There are a couple of them that are "specializing" in younger sex workers and, in my opinion, they should be avioded.

Watch your wallet and keep your wits about you wherever you go. If seems as if Pattaya is experiencing more petty thefts than usual lately. On another web-board, they're talking about teams of two on motorbikes. One drives and the other grabs gold neck-chains, etc., and then they're off and not able to be caught.

But, I think that anything that's on offer in Pattaya pales by comparison to what's on offer nightly in the BKK bars....although Pattaya bars ARE cheaper.

Was in Pattaya over the weekend. Sunee Plaza very quiet..almost dead..lots of venues I visited last year abondoned. Its not lack of visitors, Walking Street packed and full on, but boys in Payyayaland complaining "no farang" and the streets very quiet.

I like younger (legal) twinks ....found couple of really delicious 20 y.o. guys at Sawasdee host bar in Pattayaland, and good massage facilities and boys in Jomtien at Bondi.

choices

I'm not sure that I agree with the statement about there being more choices in Bangkok bars. For a of this size the number of go-go/host bars is not that great, and the number seems to be getting smaller every year. In my opinion the choices (of bars or boys) in Bangkok aren't nearly as good as they were a decade ago. Saphan Khwai is the most glaring example of the decline but Patpong ain't what it used to be either.

As for Pattaya, I only go once or twice a year but I always seem to find someone to my liking - something that rarely happens anymore in Bangkok bars. I don't know if the pool of boys in Pattaya is larger than Bangkok, but I think there is a better selection overall. I suppose I'm like biggles69; I like the younger, legal age, boys. But I will also avoid Sunee. Some of the boys there look cute, but I don't dare chance taking any of them. That area scares me.

But what I see in Bangkok bars lately looks older than ever. I'm talking about guys that look like they're in their 30s and should be driving taxis. Hey, I'm sure that appeals to some guys, just not me! But the thing is, you never used to see older guys like that "dancing" in Bangkok bars, but now it's a more common sight.
