If the purpose of your trip to Pattaya is to meet boys to bring them back to your hotel, why don't consider a gay hotel such as Ambiance or Le Cafe Royale, both right in the middle of the action in Boystown.
No questions ask if you bring company. In fact they expect you to do so and they will check the ID of the boy to make sure he is of age. Just a suggestion.

I was once told by the Resident Manager of a top hotel in Bangkok that joiners will usually get through the security screen if they dress as though they were residing in the hotel. So the more conservative the 'dress', the better the chance of getting into the lift without any problems. Since then, I have noticed that this 'rule' works pretty well. Sadly, most of the bar boys seem to dress like pick-ups and are easily spotted.
Don't know the Sheraton, but the Marriott in Pattaya has guards on duty at the beach gate and the lifts from around 9:00 pm - presumably to suss out joiners.

Check out the Penthouse Hotel. It's in the heart of the Boyz Town and there is no problem with joiners fees. If you want 3 or 4 joiners, then you'll just have to pay a bit for them. But the first one is free...
Check out this site and see what you think. It's above average, designed for sex and probably half the price of the others mentioned above...

Royal Cliff charged me Bt 600 last month. No problem but the boy had to leave his ID at the desk and the fee was payable in cash only, not on the account.
Sheraton is a resort style and possibly easier to get in, by- passing reception especially if you use the car park at the side.
