Tried to go to Pumarin in Pathumthani last Sunday. Really awful experience. First, they usher you through the Bowels of their premises, which is all cluttered and full of crap. Evident ally they decided it I better to block off the main set of doors and lead you through this maze. At 5:00 pm there were about 4 boys, none of them appealing to me. They all looked so.....used up I guess you could say. The main mamasan guy led me to sit down, and make a choice....there was no menu available, so I asked for the price list. This go the main guy talking to another one in a scoffing type of voice....at this point three female maids showed up out of nowhere with their mops and dustbins, and proceeded to stand in front of me staring like I was the white devil. Mamasan asked how long I wanted, I said one hour. He said, we don't do one hour, minimum an hour and a half. I asked him why he asked me how long I wanted if there was no choice? Anyway, he said the massage is 800 baht and the minimum tip for boy is 1000 baht. At this point, with no cute boys, a sneering mamasan, and three staring maids all giving me their attention, I cut my losses and said my farewells. I was led back through the maze and as I was leaving heard whoops and laughs....so I made the right choice I guess. I had gone before to this place, and it wasn't bad, but obviously their previous more professional standards have decayed. Avoid this place!

I just registered after reading the last 40 pages of this thread. Very informative but for me as a Bangkok- newbie also very confusing. You see and read so much about Bangkoks possibilities. After struggling through I honestly just not know where to go.
But as I will visit this weekend I would like to ask the regulars where they think a Bangkok-newbie preferring a massage by a feminine twink masseur has the best chances of finding just that in Bangkok.

Do you mean a real massageshop, where you cannot take the boy out/off? Where you stay in this big city?
IF staying in the Silom-Suriwong area (=near patpong) then i suggest you just do a short walk around the block, incl. the 3-4 shops in soi Pratuchai (Hotmale) and the other shops along Suriwong-then into soi Tawn and the places there-and back along Silom (where skytrain runs) and you pass by some 15+ shops. Just take a look-most of the staff available at the mo is sitting outside. DO make very sure you will get the masseur of your fancy and go to the room. I think soi Hotamle will have best choice.
Next best: Bodyclub in Sukhumvit, soi 8, along BTS Nana (actully just off in the 2nd short subsoi right-see sign)-they have a line up for you to choose -often 20-30 boys in all sies and types and always a few twinky queeny looking ones. 90 ins oil (bad stuff-sticky) is 450 bt, cream is 490 bt+ min. quoted tip is 500 bt (effectively 1000 for the real stuff)
The other most often named shops specialise in more beefy topmen.

Thanks for your quick answer. You confirm what I already "feared". Pattaya would have been a better choice but as I am going to stay in Thailand for some time I will do Pattaya in october.
For this weekend it will have to be Bangkok(and there are places far worse then that) and as I am staying in Park Plaza near Asoke BTS Bodyclub will be on my list. Thanks for that tip.
I read that Banana Club on Soi 11 has some bottom-guys as well.

The Tawan guys want to go to your hotel. This maximises their income (longer time), increases their prestige too really and lastly gives the opportunity for them to connect with you (PI but don't expect too much) and establish a longer term income stream.

As for a massage, when I used to off Tawan guys I had other activities all lined up that would take up the time. They are definitely a cut above the average if you like muscle. Of course many of them are straight...

As for massage boys I have only encounted one who I would say with certainty was gay. I recall a massage venue in Pattaya where the boys and customers shared the same locker area. I could not help but notice that all the boys that I observed when opening their lockers had photos of naked girls on the inside door.

Sitting at Maxis in Soi Twilight one of the boys at Bangkok Massage took my fancy. It was a long trek upstairs and I didn't appreciate the climb, but very nicely set out, not at all what I expected. A single large shower room with three separate curtained areas. The boy - from Laos he told me, and back to Vientiane on the weekend on a visa run (I inferred) - was almost certainly straight. A very simple pricing system - whatever the massage price, the boy's (minimum) tip was the same, so it's a 1200 baht cost for a one-hour massage. The massage room was a single massage "bed" at floor level, although the floor was itself raised about six inches. The boy was very careful about locking the room when we went to the shower both before and after. As anticipated there was a happy ending (he didn't cum) No issues about removing shorts etc., he just wasn't playful.

I did ask him the price for going back to my hotel room "700 baht off and 1500 baht minimum tip".
