I was in the area, and my meeting finished at 3 pm, so I thought I’d try out Urban Male. Turned out to be the best choice I could have made!

It looks totally nondescript from the outside, with a white opaque glass front. Once you enter, you can immediately tell this was a classy joint. I sat down on the comfy sofas, and the black-uniformed mamasan came up to me with the menu. From the corner of my eye, I could see all of the masseurs lining up at the other end of the room.

First I had to pick the service: I went for the 90-minute coffee-yoghurt scrub and aroma oil massage combo. A little pricier than most at THB 1,200 – but I figured I should live a little!

Next came picking the masseur. There were about a dozen of them lined up: some shirtless, some not; some medium-built, some pretty muscular. But without exception, all of them were great lookers! I asked the mamasan who he recommended, without getting into my likes or preferences. He pointed out three who he claimed I would enjoy. I went with one of his suggestions, and picked a boy who was still wearing a shirt, but seemed to be medium-built.

The boy – he went by John as I later discovered – guided me to the end of the room, and up the stairs. Evidently this was a townhouse taken over by the Urban Male folks. There seemed to be 3-4 floors, each with two massage rooms and a toilet on each floor. We went into a room on the second floor.

The room itself was pretty good, and almost of luxury spa quality. Sure, it was smaller in size than luxury spa treatment rooms, but definitely larger than most of the other massage places. Very well appointed, with a massage table, mirrors on two sides and a huge glass-enclosed shower area at one end. You can tell they have spent serious money on the place!

John didn’t speak much English, but just about enough to be able to communicate without much difficulty. First he asked me to undress and shower, while he got everything ready for the scrub. He also produced a wooden lockbox, for me to put my valuables if I wanted. Nice touch! I undressed and jumped in the shower while he put a new sheet on the table and hung up my clothes.

He took of his shirt, but left his pants on and started the scrub. Which wasn’t bad - he did an okay job and there was nothing but the incidental touching of my sexy bits. I found the coffee-yoghurt combination to be a little runnier than I would have liked, but no real complaints.

Once the scrub was done, he asked me to shower again. In a couple of minutes, he joined me in the shower. He had shed his pants now, and only had his briefs on. He cleaned every inch of me thoroughly, without making it too sexual. Dried me off with a big towel and it was massage time.

I lay face down and he started with my feet. In the mirror I could see that he had removed his underwear – so things were looking good! I soon discovered that John’s massage abilities were well above average. I wouldn’t complain if I got a similar quality massage in a spa! He spent a lot of time working on my feet, calves, shoulders and glutes: all of which I like having worked over! After about 40 minutes of being massaged on both sides, he skillfully transitioned into the après-massage special.

I’m not going to get into the gory details, but I just have one word: wow! For the next half hour, we got into everything but penetrative sex. He did ask if I was interested in anal though – but I wasn’t. Once we were done. We lay there for a couple of minutes to recover and then it was time to shower. Again, he got in the shower with me and we spent a lot of time washing and drying each other.

By far the best experience I have ever had! Needless to add, he got a great tip! I would have called John over to my hotel, but I had to leave Thailand that night. Going back next month on a 3-day business trip, and he’s going to be my first call!

Just to say that Albury now has some new rooms with en-suite showers. I was not charged any extra when I requested one of the rooms last weekend.

They closed for renovations and I read on one Thai website that they had a big group of totally new staff, but unless it's changed in the last two weeks all the staff (only about 10 in total) are the long-termers who have been there for years.

They have indeed reopened with new management and staff. They currently have about 20 guys working there...all a bit past their prime according to my tastes. But if you like 30-40 year old massage "boys", you might just be in heaven.

I was at Albury 8 days ago and would not have said their boys were 30- 40 they seemed much of the same age as elsewhere and nearly all with firm abs. I had my regular who had transferred from body club and also saw another ex body club guy there.

Twinks - my first visit. No menu card of what was on offer. Older guy said for massage and fucking all in price of Bht2,000. Asked why more expensive than Arena and Senso and was told that all boys were 18 - 20 and rent more expensive there. Fairly basic facilities and as rooms next to "reception" area you hear the TV and all conversations going on. Overall experience was pretty average.

Went to Urbanmale (Sukh 23) for the first time. Nice premises and room. Had the 90 min scrub and massage which was good. However boy just wanted to do a hand job for his "minimum" Bht1,000 tip. On the way to the massage room every boy said "enjoy your massage" no one asked after how it went. Will not be going back.

Went to Purity Massage 56 Surawong for first time. Has reasonable rooms with shower. Near the end of the massage boy asked what I wanted - said sucking each other. Unfortunately he had trouble getting hard and explained that he had not eaten recently and therefore I would need to fuck him to get him hard.... I obviously obliged. On the way out noticed they had quite a number of boys sitting in the area behind the foot massage room and the lifts to the body massage rooms. Will try this place again.

Can only confirm what cataconic wrote in August. Went to Urban Male today at 15:30 h for the first time. Already two farangs were there making there choices when I arrived. I was fortunate enough that John was still available (did not know him and chose him because of his looks).

One of the best massages I ever had. John apparently has 3 years experience in massaging. He said he's 22 years old. His English was limited but sufficient for the purpose. At the end we were smoking each other and he was eager to bring me to the glorious happy ending.

When I came back to the reception there were two Asian customers sitting on the sofas. Looked like they had to wait for their preferred masseurs. So the place seemed quite busy.

I certainly will return to Urbanmale.

I walked past Twinks this evening and it is still staffed but has very few lights outside. The boys were mostly lurking in the shadows and calling to passers-by. If I had had more time, I would have gone in to see who was on offer. next time I will take a flash light.

I tried Pulalai Spa. It has very professional, straight massage services at very reasonable prices and in a good environment...I was given Tik who worked like a Trojan for two hours on a foot and Thai massage. While the customers were largely Thai couples, some male customers did go upstairs after asking for a particular boy. It is a place that could bare fruit with some nurturing.
