Spent a few days in Koh Samui last week and visited Boy Zone and the bar opposite a couple of times. Some of the boys were really nice and the dancing was full of energy. It is a pity for the boys that so few customers were there. I had a great time and my Thai boyfriend and I availed ourselves of some of the cuties - having a foursome one night and a threesome another! Mmmmm. Yummy.

I was in Chaweng Beach last week. The weather and beach are beautiful but the gay scene is dead. Boyzone go-go bar has closed down. The gay massage opposite used to be Tropical Fah Samui but it has moved about 2km away and the massage replacing it is awful. Tropical Fah Samui though is still good value at 700 baht for 90 mins, compared with 2200 baht at nearby Emerald Green Mens Club which must be the most expensive gay massage in the whole of Thailand. The Green Mango disco/bar is overrun with straight boguns and K Club was empty save for 4 or 5 ordinary looking rent boys. Apparently everyone has a day job until around midnight and then gather god knows where, if anywhere. Even gay romeo yields slim pickings. OUT magazine's representation of Koh Samui 'having a quieter' gay scene is a huge overstatement.
