Here they seem to have an up-to-date web page with December events including some emphasis on muscle boys. Dec 31 is shown as a Mr Thailand event.

Here's a sauna that appears to be around the old London cinema area...opposite the end of Prakanong (soi 71):
Mind Sauna For Men

Yes, it has been around for a few years already. Nothing exciting was happening the couple times I visited, but maybe it gets going on the weekends (I have only visited on weekdays).

Khun Pong, I believe you have been to Torpedo Sauna. Do they have a massage service as per the web page below?

Has anyone visited Sukhothai / Cruising II Sauna recently? It used to be naked night every night, but the last time I was there, the towels were back. It's been a while. Curious to know how it is now.

The place had 2 minor problems, which management probably never figured out, but would turn off many patrons: (1) although the rooms were big and nice, the windows on the doors could not be adequately covered (the inside hooks were wrongly placed, or something like that) (who wants people looking inside?), and (2) the shower floor was a perpetual puddle of standing water (gross) (the concrete people or architect neglected to put slope to the drains).

What is Style Sauna going to be re-opened as? I sure hope someone creates an alternative to DJ Station.

Chakran

How's the going at Chakran nowadays? From the website, can I assume that membership is necessary even for single entry?. Any translator can advise? My last visit is about a decade ago.

Thanks.

icon513 6th January 2011 07:32 PM

No membership required, just pay at the door as usual.

It is very changed from ten years ago. The building has been basically cut in half, with the back have of the top floors given over to V Club massage, which has a separate entrance.

Additionally, the place has not been kept up very well.

I think you will be disappointed if you are remembering the place of a decade ago.

I went to Chakran one time in my recent trip--I think it was Christmas Eve. It was crowded with attractive Thai (the most attractive of attractive you will see in Bangkok) and some basically younger farangs. I just paid at the door--I think over 300 baht. They had a nude foam party going on, where you had to check your underwear, etc. outside of the hot-tub area being used for the foam bath (they gave you a number) (the whole area had curtains around it so you could not look inside). I did not go in, and I think it had a 5 or 10 minute limit. As usual with Chakran, it ended up being a big parade, with some very picky hot Thai going in with other hot Thai, and also hot Thai who just sat around talking with other hot Thai. I was fortunate to go in a room with a hot young Cambodian who seemed to feel out of place and decided he wanted me instead of a Thai. I thought it was well-maintained and clean. I don't remember seeing any access to V Club--which might be a totally different building and entrance from the outside.

icon513 7th January 2011 04:18 AM

Same building, separate entrance. You cannot go between one and the other without exiting and reentering.

MALE BOX sauna in/on Ram2

Last week, as a kind of intended check-up of this palce, as someone asked a long time ago: yes, it is still alive and kicking. In the short soi sticking into the bow-shaped giant Centran shopping centre halfway along Ram2, across from a BigC.
It is a normal Thai shophouse, 4 floors, a bit well-used and worn now. When I went into the soi, 2 guys clad in all-black also enetred and adressed me-telling me this was not the entry to the Central. Apparently the gaydar was working, as they then asked if i wanted something else? Well yes, though the goal was easy to see. They even invited me in and gave me a free entry-this was nr 11 on their card (as often: pay 10-11 is free). The older was about 40 and spoke english well, later on he told was working in a bank. They often went on the prowl for 3somes, but that was not always easy. But this only came out later. Anyway, I got a royal treatment, in the shower with soaping in, a grand tour of the premises and I was poured a free drink. Clearly they were well known guests to others and got admiring looks. Told me farang were quite rare there. They soon also found the most enclosed cubicle and then the towels dropped again. The younger one could also give a very sensual massage.
Cannot garantee anything if you try to repeat this, but Thailand always has good surprises.

Warning: this place is strictly il ne vaut pas le detour, in my opinion. It is small, quiet, and very local. The times I have been there, there have been no more than 10-20 others present -- and nothing I'd call exciting.

Visit by all means if you happen to be in this remote neighborhood, but I would not recommend making a special trip out there, as it is nothing special.

gregvc 1st February 2011 04:39 AM

I always found the owners ( 2 guys in their 20s) to be very welcoming. Yes, it is local but if you attend a couple of times then you become more accepted. Probably more appropriate for those living in BKK. We often went there when we lived in BKK on "the other side of the river" up to 3 yrs ago. I yearn to go back to discover places where there aren't so many farang. So nice to meet up with locals with money not the object.

icon513 1st February 2011 04:46 AM

Agree that it is a friendly place. Just trying to manage people's expectations. After of all, it is a heck of a distance from downtown.

- Not too far, surely, for the dedicated cruiser in search of something new? :)

icon513 2nd February 2011 03:32 AM

Depends on the time of day.

If you're talking late afternoon, I wouldn't expect to get there in under 1.5 hours.

As for the question of "too far or not", I'll leave that "up to you". At least now, though, everyone has full disclosure to guide their decisions.

(For me personally, the answer is "way too far and not nearly interesting enough to make a special trip").

pong 7th February 2011 06:32 PM

strange, that this mentioning gets such a response.
From Silom (and remember, there are people, like me, who do not even come there often!) take bus 76, orange AC, daytime maybe 30 mins=1/3 off the quoted time.
Now that BTS runs to WWyai-take bus 105, which runs all of RamII untill Mahachai. Doubt if that would save much time.
The day I went was weekend and it was busier. But on normal weekdays, most of the other sauna's i did last year (just 4 or 5) were just as quiet. 20 people in is aready a big crowd, in general.

KhunTST 13th February 2011 07:16 PM

Went to Heaven Sauna on Saturday afternoon/evening. Wow was it busy. An amazing mix of farangs (at least a dozen), Turks(?farang... thought he was from UK), Chinese, and of course locals.

A beautiful evening on the roof top garden. Some nice talks with a couple of different guys although precious little u know what for me.

Mai pen rai... All part of the embroidery...

pong 15th February 2011 08:14 PM

someone before mentioned the parading and doing nothing in sauna's from some smart/hansum thai guys. This was indeed confirmed to me by such a guy (or attempting to-those are in general not really my choice). Said he visited a few times/year, mainly in a group of friends, and that was just what they would do: play a little in the gym, do some exercise, view a movie or VDO, and look at whom got interested. Like they would gain brownie-points for the nr. of stares they would receive. Ingeneral I found that in my visits it was more mid-age thai men coming into sauna's for what we are also going for.

wantasian 15th February 2011 10:51 PM

In addition to parading, I think they also like to see if an older farang touches them in any way--they get a mental high out of being insulted, violated, almost raped! by that disgusting farang! But it's funny because Thai can touch Thai (I've seen this a lot) and they don't have any negative reaction.

Last trip, I talked with a Lao guy (he just wasted a lot of my time and was never was interested in sleeping over in the first place) who told me that his visit to Babylon the day before totally disgusted him--old farangs touching him--soooooo disgusting!

I think the parading only happens when a place gets a certain number of people. But eventually a lot of the guys end up going in with other guys--it just takes forever (non-stop parading). Maybe they first need to get turned on by seeing how many people look at them.

Has anyone been to the various events held at Torpedo and Cruising Saunas. These include fucking zone, orgy zone, communal j/o zone just to name a few. I have heard from a number of Thais that these events are very wild and full on.

Torpedo and Cruising are related or owned by the same people. I heard that the events at Cruising have a big turnout--but I never knew what kind of events. Someone told me that the guys who go to Cruising are "real men" who are not inhibited. I have been to Cruising two times (I've posted directions)--but never during one of these events. The first time, I think I just had a little success playing around with a few guys (nothing memorable), but the second time, I had great sex with a guy maybe age 32, with a masculine hot muscular body who said he worked for the Air Force in Don Muang! He kept saying he loved me! But other than that, it was parading, rejection, snotty attitude, etc.

Cruising Sauna is open until 5 a.m. Fri. & Sat. nights (opens at 4 p.m. every day)--otherwise open until 2 a.m. On a soi opposite Major Cineplex Ratchayothin--see detailed instructions I posted earlier.

From a card: Cruisingsauna.com, 02-930-3538-9

Torpedo spa--089-029-3667

Torpedo sauna and spa--Ramhkamhang 24--02-7187376

I went to cruisingsauna.com, and there is a twitter link that gives activities listings:

http://twitter.com/cruisingsauna

Also, when you go to cruisingsauna.com, go to bottom left to click on either cruisingsauna or torpedo--and that takes you into their more detailed web sites.

JupiterJake 20th February 2011 02:31 AM

Their "promotional flyers" (in Thai) are extremely explicit. They seem to have the "fucking zone" alternate at each sauna every fortnight. Same with the "orgy zone" and the "jerk off" events.

My understanding is that the rules are as follows:

fucking zone - the zone opens for a couple of hours on the designated night. You can only enter if you have a partner or if you hook-up quickly in the zone. People standing around are ushered out. Not for the faint of heart. Couples fucking openly all over the zone. The lights are on. People who ejaculate in the open (whether the fucker or the fuckee) each get a 5 day free pass.

orgy zone - no need to have a partner to enter. Can watch if you like. Again, very wild. Lights on, fucking, sucking, you name it all out in the open for all to see. Ejaculating in the zone gets you a free pass.

jerk off zone - there are usually a few couples fucking in the middle of the room and others are standing around in a circle jerking off. People who ejaculate get free passes. Those who volunteer to receive cum - like bukkake, get extra free passes. Again, lights on.

There are also other events. Every Tuesday at cruising they have a "man in the box" event. Kind of like glory holes but in a clear plastic material. Guys with big cocks (some volunteer, others employed) stick their cocks through the holes for the general crowd to suck to orgasm. Heaps of guys standing around watching.

These venues are not for the faint of heart - from all accounts. No doubt the wildest and most uninhibited guys go there.

icon513 20th February 2011 10:12 AM

I have experienced the fucking zone at Torpedo.

As one of the few people there over thirty, I wasn't exactly the belle of the ball.

These things are largely for the young'uns, so don't get your hopes up too high if you're not one.

If you weren't partnered I assume they ushered you out of the zone. Is that right? My understanding is that for the fucking zone you can't just stand around and watch.

I think I will start with the orgy zone and see how I do. If I get a favorable response, then perhaps I may venture to the fucking zone.

I shall report back in due course.
