Mr Icon,
As said above, you will be old one day. Your ageisim is sickening and very insulting to many of the readers of this board. Just because you are a moderator does not make you immune from being
a very rude and unpleasant man

The good news is that there are hundreds of guys out there who do appreciate maturity. Just register on "Silverdaddies dot com" and start surfing that site. The chat room and travellers sections are particularly rewarding. I'm going to Adelaide for one night tonight and have been contacted through the site by a hot 24 y o chinese guy who's keen to play. Happy hunting

I don't blame anyone for "ageism"--as one gets older, the bad characteristics stand out more and get worse (lack of hygiene, poor taste in style, alcholism, bad habits, kookiness, lack of financial resources, etc.). Also, what really disgusts me is older guys who think they're attractive and charming (Mr. Personality). I've found very few aged men who are truly interesting or that a young guy should have any interest in being in a relationship with (based on mental things). The same goes for older women (the whole cougar thing). Basically there is punishment when one gets older for what one did wrong in one's youth. For example, I have no pity on nasty, weird, young queens who played sadistic mind games, and then got older and are disappointed in their lives. You never know what planet older guys are from (what their past lives are).

I've found Silverdaddies to be a total waste of time--but maybe I'm too young at 49.

Being a moderator does require you have thick skin! I've followed this thread and while I don't fully agree with everything said by icon513, it is over the top to accuse him of ageism.

OOooooh dear! I'm guilty of bad habits (too many to list), kookiness and think I'm attractive (I'm still not sure about "charming") and since I run around shirtless in teeny-tiny shorts so much of the time, I guess I'll have to plead mea culpa to poor taste in style, too (though I have been told that I taste very good...does that make up for it?). But then, being a beach bum (well, a writer who writes at the beach, anyway), I guess I do get away with a lot of things.

I can understand people prefering one particular age group over another based on sexual tastes but I wouldn't want to have to spend the rest of my life with anybody who's very much younger than me since I've had the experience of having to try to keep one entertained while trying to get my latest book done on time.

The other thing I don't understand is the need to constantly belittle people who are older and in less than good shape. Everyone needs love - or at least the hope of it - and if some younger Asian guy thinks a portly European gentleman of advanced years is more attractive than a younger one in better physical condition, I really feel it's nobody's business but that of the two people involved in the relationship.

I remember, as a teenager, some of my peers cruising for portly and elderly European gents around the harbour area back in the 70s. My friends came from well-off families, so there was no question of their looking for a sugar daddy.

Please check out the Babylon website for photos and videos of recent funtions. You'll enjoy playing spot the old guy.

Have spent last month in Thailand and some of it in BKK and Babylon. All of you are right about Babylon. It is many things,a real jumble sale.Whatever prism you see it through it will be that especially during tourist season. You just don't know who will be there with many turning up because of its legendary status.

Whether or not the crowd is particularly aged, it is undoubtedly way way too tourist and "inter-Thai" for those of us who prefer more down-to-the earth "free range" Thai guys.

Age and tourism.Any other exclusions from your master cruising race ?

Alex Garland's 'The Beach ' has as the protaginist a gatekeeper character who knows the ideal type for her unspoiled locale.

I like boy-next-door locals in their twenties.

Does that make me the next Hitler?

If so, I'll suck a fat 75 year-old tourist's cock in repentance. Or, maybe you'd like to do that for me?

The silver and the tourists aren't stopping you indulging at all.Less bothered by you no doubt than you by them.

Repentance. Now that is an old mans' old testament concept.

If the 75 year old had the body of a 25 year old, the bank account of Warren Buffet, and an 11 inch penis, you might not run so fast. And I would counsel you on one thing, Icon, with all due respect: let me assure you what you think is hot now will not be what you think is hot as you get older. We change and so do our desires.

I would encourage everyone to learn how to take the extra moment to be respectful of each other. Whether in contributing to this thread or out there in the real world, we've found ourselves in an increasingly callous world, but it need not be that way. You can find so much value and pleasure in guys of all ages, all types, all races, and no, I don't just mean sexual pleasure.

It would be good to have a moderator who is more welcoming to all.Granted though an experienced, veteran like Icon is a valuable resource.
