Poppers ...

-- Today, (15th.), forenoon - and knowing that I had been invited to visit BANGRAK POLICE STN. to assist BKK's. Finest with their investigations - I looked-at 'Poppers.' in search-engine Google, chose one fairly short entry, allowed Google Translate to give me a written Thai version and printed it.

-- Having completed what was req'd. I enquired of the snr. & middle-ranking offr. who was looking-into the original matter, if sex-drugs are OK. in TH.?
- After a few moments of Q&A. as to exactly what I meant by 'Sex-drugs.' he asked me if I had any specific drug in mind?
- I shewed him the article about 'Poppers.', from search-engine Google and printed-out in Thai;
- He gave me to u'stand. that he'd never heard of its chemical name of Amyl Nitrite, and added that it wasn't in the usual listings of drugs wch. he knew.
- I gained the feeling that he wasn't too comfortable with my farang-style & direct questions and so did not pursue the matter any farther.
- Strange, I thought, for a Police Offr. of his seniority and working out of BANGRAK STN., whose area would cover the Phat Pongs, Soi Twilight & Si Lom sois 2., 2/1. & 4. etc. etc., not to have been aware of that particular drug?

-- Sorry not to have obtained a cut-and-dried answer as to sex-drugs' legality here in TH..
- But in default of any info. to the contrary I shall stand-by my assertion that such drugs are illegal here in TH..

I have done some research.

Poppers, as well as other substances such as glue, lacquer, and thinner, are covered by the The Emergency Decree on Prevention against Abuse of Volatile Substances of B.E 2533 (1990).

You can find the law in its entirety here:

http://thailaws.com/law/t_laws/tlaw15028.pdf

To cut to the chase:

Use or inducing another to use carries a potential jail sentence of up to 2 years and a fine of 20,000 baht;

Importation or sale raises the stakes to 3 years / 30,000 baht.

Something to keep in mind!

I'm curious about what the police investigation was about that you were assisting with. Did someone get robbed in that area?

-- BANGRAK POLICE STN. covers an area that includes the Phat Pongs, Soi Twilight, Si Lom sois 2., 2/1. & 4. etc. etc..
- It's possible that in such an area there might have been extortions, cases of GBH., hooliganism, muggings, murders, rapes, seductions, sexual shenanigans and so on and so forth - meat and drink to both the legal profession & to the media, each of whom thrives-on such a diet.
- But were this particular case a matter of public concern to those who contribute to CFS. then I would have publicised it as much as I felt to be necessary.
- Verb. sap..

If the possibility of two years in a Thai jail doesn't scare you, then you've never been in a Thai jail.

Nitrates were used in 'older' times contained in a small glass vial that was broken and inhaled by sufferers of angina. As a powerful vaso dilator (look it up) it would relieve angina symptoms. Now in pill form put under the tongue...

Presumably these would have been available in LOS in the 'good 'ol days'.

As you can see i do not log here a lot, just want you to know I bail this week one friend (200000 baht) he will go to his first court appearances next week, and be given a date for next court (8 months to 12 months) he will have to stay in Thailand, passport confiscated.
What he done is not bringing popper, but been caught at the border because he use an agency to do a visa run last time (6 months ago) and the stamps has a different number.
If you get caught with anything illegal, you can be in for long time, I many time bring some poppers, I will not anymore. Anything illegal in Thailand, can be taken very seriously.
If you have a Thai friend try this link, they will not reply to non Thai people.

This post caused me to have non-stop bad dreams overnight (mostly dealing with extortion attempts by Thai).

Anyway, here's an interesting story I just saw about I-drugs (where one goes to a web site and listens to mind-altering tones/sounds, which are drug-like)--which are legal. I don't think it's a hoax because a lot of people posted comments. I don't feel like being made high by sound. Here's youtube link:

YouTube - Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Warning Parents About I-Dosing

I wonder if the Odyssey was the first mention of this (Odysseus and the Sirens).

My first and only experience with what I think must have been poppers was with a massage boy. He insisted in both himself and myself using a small bottle of "aromatherapy" which he "got from a friend overseas." After breathing in, I was in heaven. And him -- man, the way he sucked and sucked and swallowed was incredible. I would do it again -- but only if offered. I would not go out of the way looking for the stuff.

I think sniffing any chemical is toxic and cannot be good for you, People are careless when they are young and abuse drugs and chemicals, only to get Cancer, tumors, and other problems later on..

I can't believe that popper use does not cause some kind of brain damage. Also, I've noticed that people who use it can't get hard or stay hard without it. Rarely do they cum. I've noticed the same with cigarette smokers. Both are a big turn-off for me.

I've used poppers for quite a few years now but I am not a heavy user apart from when I am in Pattaya, where I am very active sexually. I dont think they have done me any harm. In view of all the warning on this thread I will not be taking any with me and will try to avoid buying a bottle on the beach.
I mostly top and find that the cum is more intense after sniffing. Not found that the strength of my erection is affected by popper usage.
