Some places a bit upmarket from Tam Quats.

There is a place at 2 Quan Thanh, it has glass front so you can easily see some of the guys sitting inside. Has two stories with 2 rooms on each floor with one shower room on each floor. It is a very narrow spiral staircase that goes up. Guys generally student types and a bit older. VND400k includes extras and they are not allowed to take extra tip. Usually about 10-15 mins of massage before sex. The previous owner of this now has:

Angela's at 4b Pham Hong Thai (off Hang Bun) (seems it may have been a hairdressers before) again you can see some boys sitting inside the door (others in a room at the back) I have only been to one very spacious room on 1st floor - this is nice room but the shower room is very basic. If you get to know the owner - Kent - you can ask him for the type of guy you want and what you want to do. I normally stay for a couple of hours and have 4 - 5 guys consecutively and send him sms after to give my comments on them. Massage for 10 - 15 mins of variable style depending on guy first before sex. Same pricing as above. Usually good quality guys.

There was a place called For Man at 58 Yen Ninh - they have now moved to 105 Hong Ha Street (have not checked if any one else has taken their original place - it did not look nice inside the door but the rooms and shower room where good quality). The new place has glass door so you can see the guys inside - they have nice rooms and decent shower rooms. Boys of good standard with a number speaking some English. Tend to get 1 hour massage and then sex. Same pricing as above.

Around these are other massage places which look like may have both male and female.

Tam Quat at 52 Hang Bun still going for the more adventurous with more basic facilities - mattress on floor - but private room. Basic shower room.

It will be about 5 - 10m min taxi ride from HK Lake. All other than 105 Hong Ha are walking distance from each other (with many other massage places in the area). 105 Hong ha is about a 5 minute taxi ride away.

I checked the mentioned massage shops yesterday (2pm -3pm). The shop in 52Hang Bun was closed and even seemed to be abandoned, the shop in 2Quan Than was closed as well, maybe it opens later. The shop in Pham Hang Thai had 8 boys on duty, 4 good looking twinks and the rest tatooed over and over. They could not get their eyes off their cell phones. Current rate...500 000 Vn Dong , tip included. I checked the premises....they have very liberal ideas about cleanliness. Don t want to know when they changed the linen last time. In the evening I went to 105Hong Ha....a friendly crowd, they lined up immediately. Boys from 25-30...but all but 2 out of shape. The cashier is a cute , tall and slim boyish guy and there is another good looking guy available...I had a short eye contact with him and it was clear that he was more than ready. Being too tired I decided to go today or tmr. BTW: What about the "etiquette" at this places? Do they shower with the customer before massage, is it done in the nude..etc?

Last time I stayed at Continental and had major problem taking a Vietnamese guy to my room. The lift attendant saw us and directed us to reception who said it was not allowed. I blew a gasket and told them hotel policy clearly allowed guests until 10 pm (it was about 5 pm.) The bitch said "Ok - 1 hour only" . i mumbled -fuck you - and we went up to the room for the night - but I will never return there!

2 Quan Thanh was recently shut down. The paper did an undercover expose on gay life in the city. They taped some guy saying: well, for good service go to 2 QT. 6c Doc Tam Da St short way down small side street - sign outside says something like Kents Place. Taxi sometimes drops off at end of the main street so then need to walk down the main street before going down side street.
