It is much like a band-aid. If you think it will hurt, and work at it slowly, it will hurt and just not work.

... But if you quickly (but carefully) stick whatever you are using into your hole, it should "pop" in and then from there you are good. There is also the chance that the rectum is not shaped quite the same as in most people. A pal of mine was unable to bottom for much the same reason. Years later, in a routine physical exam, the doctor noted that his rectum had the shape of the head of a golf iron--the first inch or two shot off in a 45 degree angle once inside the anus before it ascended upward. Might be worth having a medical checkup.

Quick is NOT the answer! You could be injured that way. Here are 2 things you should try for success.

1) First of all and most important for the beginner – LOTS of lube.

2) Point the object of your desire (dick or dildo, doesn’t matter) into your anus and apply constant pressure just SHORT of pain. Your sphincter will slowly relax and you can SLOWLY EASE it in. If it starts to hurt, stop before you feel real pain, get accustomed to the size and then proceed. The tissue there can and will streach alot but it does so slowly.
