This is not a read and jerk off posting (at least not yet), it needs your feedback and answers.
Let's be honest for a moment, We all do it to some degree. I'm not looking for the lies, but the results. How did it go when you finally got together? Did the other guy say "Hell, no. You're not what I bargained for!" or just slip down to his knees and start sucking your dick. If he was horny enough to place an online personality, he probably just will go with it. Conversely, have you ever responded to an online come on only to meet someone totally different than they advertised? How did you respond?

SURE I always knock off at least 10 years.
Because I sound worse than I look. I mean I sound SO FREAKING OLD in print. But I don't look or act it. I have NO problem bagging boys in their 20's. I also don't discriminate, I have NO problem doing men in their 60's either. Face to face I tell my age true. Werks 4 me.

Ever since the heyday of the AOL M2M chat rooms, and the introduction of the infamous AOL Dickometer, people have started pimping up (or simply faking their profiles to get some extra attention...)
This has become a universal custom, like it or not. The smart thing to do here is to both keep the pimping up of the profile within reason and NOT fake the pix or send those that are 10-15 years old. Most people really do not care how old you are, and they will go with the usual endowment just as well. Few guys are as dumb as not to recognize the name of the game here... Yet, most people want genuine pix. If the pic is a useless fake, most of them will simply walk away on you, and you you have been just wasting everyone's time... KD

I have not, nor would I. I am completely comfortable and secure with who I am, and am only interested in guys who want me just as I am. There are plenty of men who do like me the way I am and I am not so charitable that I will indulge someone else's shallowness.
It cracks me up when I get messages from younger (40-something) guys on Daddy Hunt who tell me how hot I am and how much they'd love to pig out on my dick if I weren't "so old." I've hailed guys, just to say hello and give a thumbs-up to something in their profile and gotten a "fuck off, can't you read?" because I was one year beyond his age range. And that's on a site that's for mature men! One of the absolutely biggest laughs I got was some guy walked up to me at a bar here in town and said "some old guy on AOL is using [my] picture in his profile." I asked him what the screen name was and it was indeed mine. He nearly shit himself when I told him. YMMV, but stick with being honest. If someone's that insecure and hung up about your stats, just how good a fuck do you think he really is going to be?

no, all profiles I have made were honest.
As to the other side: terms like GL, VGL, hung, etc seem to have a wide range of perspective. lol but that would not be a biggie to me, nor would an older pic. Some guys freak a pic is over a year old., most of us don't change a lot in a year, heck I had some shots of me at around 30 and 40+ and they looked the same! I say if the image is representative, use it! Ages: well I get it, if you look (30) but are (45) not kickin ya to the curb. Heck some guys @30 look more like 60! & I've met a pretty hot 70 guy couple years ago (profile said 50, and he looked damn good for 50! showed me his id, made the joke 'black don't crack') was a shame he was just visiting the area. If the guy is not like his profile in a significant way, I walked away., part the concern of if he lied about X what about the other points (like std's, etc) Once in a while because the reality killed the mood. (Like the guy I arranged to meetup @ the mall and was dressed as a woman, admit he looked totally real but I was expecting a masculine man. "Woman" approached me & flirted, I was like hey, flattered but please leave me alone. Then the voice changed and called my 'name'. Yikes! lol but I walked away.... quickly... But most guys I met were reasonably described in their profile to their reality.

I've always been honest. I figure that if we actually meet they're gonna see and they're gonna know what I look like. I don't mind sharing my age -- yeah, I'm 60 -- although there's one site where I left it out entirely but did post a current pic. If my age is a problem for some other guy he's probably not someone I'd want.
Anyhow, I'm a really bad liar. So much easier to just tell the truth, then you just be real and don't trip yourself up contradicting yourself.

I am a really good liar (that is how I stayed in the closet all these years ) but I figure if there is any chance we would meet up in person I would rather that we both knew what we were getting - that is a lot easier on the ego than meeting and getting rejected! In the days of the old chat rooms - when you knew it was not about meeting in person it was all cyber fantasy - then using some "creative license" (add a couple inches, drop 10 pounds) I figured was just part of the game.
