- Even although the K-MALE CLUB massage parlor, (Massage venues #1,100.), might be just a little too far out for the Silomcentric I'll leave that bit of exploration to be shared by others.

-- Today, (18th.), I arr'd. at SANAM LUANG at sometime after 19.oo.hrs. and more for olde sake's sake walked leisurely past the MIN. OF DEFENCE, (LHS.), to SARAN ROM PK.;
- On the way I did not see any students or similar walking & looking, nor did I see any kerb-crawlers.

-- The Pk. itself was very quiet, with few people jogging, performing aerobics and so on. On the four benches usually occupied by those who might be available was but one youngish man who bad me a 'Good evening.'. Even the hawng nahm was deserted.

Lotus On Nut
jsut a bit of a misadventure happened tonight! Rawang as they say in Thai. The cleaning lady has very acute observation powers at reading the shadows projected onto her sooo! shiny floor. I was occupying the last cubicle with a thai man...blocking the glory holes for a bit more privacy....was busy "smoking"....finishing in a reasonable amount of time....The Thai man then made his exit from the cubicle and I closed the door behind him....The cleaning lady, armed with her mop was standing in the far corner and spoke to the man telling him that 2 people cannot be in 1 cubicle....plus a few more words that i could not understand...but no shouting. SO!! what one would do???? I was a cornered rabbit! Adjusted myself and excited the cubile too. The cleaning lady was still standing in the corner with her face mask and leaning onto her mop! She said in Thai : farang kaow klap ban (translating into: the foreigner with white hair going home) I could see her smile /sneer under her mask. I did not offer any comment,glad to get out ....I guess it will be a while before I return....unless i dye my hair!!! Just a close call. I then went upstairs to buy groceries and came down the elevator to go back to my car ansd she spotted me coming towards the toilet end. I smiled and exited to the parking lot....Honey I am home!
So to my happy cruisers..be on the look out for the maiden with the mop!

1.TescoLotus Klong Toey-Ram IV, upperlevel=foodcourt. came there on day of redshirt new protest as bus was diverted. Went after dinner into the WC and was soon followed by a fairly attractive other young male, apparently he weas waiting at the end of the corridor for passers by. As I told before, I am not into that type of action at all (and I always believe Tesco in its UK origin will have hidden camarea's). Boy used the urinals, but as I came out of cubicle, turned around and showed his apparatus. Sorry-will only do in other places.

furhternto sexytile visit to Old town/park:
1.for those enjoying katoeys, since the last weeks there is a troupe of them roaming aorund Boon Siri road (just off Klong Lot-where now the evening market is and along HTL of same name). AYOR and BE warned: even among katoeys they are the most aggressive ''not to be touched wiothout spiked handshoes on'' type, even screaming at any lone male from acros the street.
2.as sexy noted-Saran ROM is in furhter decline. This partly also due to closing of nearby Sanam Luang, and many homeless families living there have moved on, also taking in the bus-shelters along canal. 19.00 is FAR too early anyway. But even at prime time, about 22.00, the offerings are small and low-quality. One family camps out at corner of park across Wat Pho and the boy (15?16?) shouts (I guess the only english he knows) 500 bt to anyone passing by. Ugh, yuck. I guess any smart student will have discovered the easy delights of gayRomeo and the like on his compute-no endless waiting, more garanteed hookups..

some more: if you go there-you may want a walk along the replaced Sanam Luang nightmarket-now even called a walking street. It is along the canal walking toward the park. At the side of the fence, roughly opposite a concrete stupa of a wat across the canal (just before the bridge leading to Boon Sri road) there is now a kind of gay stand-sexy underwear and also gay DVDs, 2nd hand gay mags etc. Many stands now sell str8 DVDs (40 bt/1 or 3/100) and the copy-copy modern underwear for guys.
When you hit a lot of 2nd hand clothes stalls-you have gone too far (nevertheless-acceptable shirts for 3/100 might even appeal to you)

1.as many of you are also bus-users and not scary to reach farflung places:
there are now 2 new busmaps for sale in the usual THAI booksops, like See Ed or B2S.
one comes from PATHfinder and shows bundles of 20/25 routes with the routes clearly to follow in colour oin a schematic map of BKK.
A brandnew one, but 99bt!, comes from THINKmaps and is most clear, shows all routes and even very new changes, inckl. ARL, but as in most maps routes are not that easy to follow. It also has a ''star'' from main places like WTC/Siam and KhaoSarn with all routes fanning out from there.
-per 1/1/11 the BMTA will again sell 1day and monthly tickets-at a proposed 30 or 700 THB. But thee are ONLY valid on the real Govmt. buses=mainly the normal red and AC-orange (and a few others), and not on the many private (white normal, orange mini or all-yellow AC).

and BTW-now that we talk about buses- did you ever had success in them in getting seduced? On average (but I spend just 3-4 month/year here in BKK) I get very indecent touches about once or twice per year, but much more often (mainly late eves) more sedate proposals. Early mornings are not good at all-even in free buses packed full of students.

-- My experiences, in gen'l., are that stdnts. tend to travel in packs and thus are no good for such experiences as related.
- It's the lone wolf who's on the look-out who is the better for such experiences as I enjoyed one a'noon. - a good few yrs. back, now - on a #4. 'bus. from Rama IV. into CHINATOWN; first glances were exchanged and then ... ; but I'd better allow The hand of discretion ... .

-- Khun Pong,
- Many thanks for yr. suggestions.
- My two 'bus.-maps:
1.- Bangkok bus Map. - ISBN. 9-789745-250451. - E5. - pub'd. by Roadway - 69.Bh. - although using colors to differentiate the various 'bus.-routes can be unclear in places where many 'bus.-routes converge;
2. - Thai title wch. I cannot read - ISBN. 9-789744-85086 - a PN MAP pub'd. by Free8man Travel - 'bus.-routes not colored but 'bus.-numbers indicated from time to time alongside their routes;
are both far from accurate - especially for those 'buses. going-out to & returning from the more far-flung outskirts.

-- So possibly khun Pong's recommendations will be more helpful? Here's hoping.

THE MALL - Bang Khae ...

-- Today, (08th.), a'noon., en route to my hair-dressing friend far OUT next to BIG C - Aom Yai, I availed of the chance to look-in at THE MALL - Bang Khae., where I had to change 'buses., this would be around 12.30.hrs.;
- Journey's time & fare from Si Lom rd. to THE MALL: approx. 1hr. & 17Bh.;
- None of the hawng nahm was busy, although a fair number of shoppers and many happy eaters;
- I reckoned that the most discreet HN. would be the one to one's LEFT when facing The Convention Centre on 4fl..

ROBINSON'S - King Taksin Circle ...

-- Today, (08th.), late a'noon. - ret'g. from my earlier visit to far-flung Aum Yai - I dropped-in to ROBINSONS'S on Lat Ya rd., (King Taksin the Gt. Circle.); this would be around 17.30.hrs.;
- Not too many shoppers;
- Only in the hawng nahm on 4fl. was there any activity, where a couple of students were busy discharging the stresses and strains of the day under the watchful eyes of a slightly older man.

BIG C - Aum Yai ...

-- Today, (08th.), a'noon. have finished chatting with my hair-dresser friend I visited BIG C - Aum Yai., this would be around 16.oo.hrs. or so;
- In the GF. HN. there are peep-holes in many of the cubicles' partitions, with at least one larger one in cubicle #4.;
- While all of the GF. HN. were occupied, with others waiting to avail, those either side of me kept their sides of the peep-holes blocked;
-- But it is a bit far to go for what may turn-out to be a complete waste of 'bus.-fare. and of time, isn't it?
